Course Curriculum Overview

5

First of all, after X standard I genuinely wanted to stay away from mathematics so I chose to study Humanities for two years. I wasn't interested in many subjects and Political Science and History were the bearable subjects for me, so I wanted to pursue either of them for further studies. So currently I'm pursuing BA History (H). The reason why I'm doing honours is that I wanted to know how detailed this course is because on intrnet I read that program is less detailed study of any subject. So I was just curious and wanted to experience how it felt to study something in much detail than most of the people. This course is no joke to be honest. If you are really crazy for what you are studying it will give you pleasure and thrill. It teaches you how to learn from your past mistakes and from mistakes of others and to try new methods to cope with different problems and challenges life throws on you. The curriculum is to the point and resolves curiosity. 3 hour exam is enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

If i talk about my course it is 10500 fee anually and the fee vary from course which you are pursuing . The tuition fee, caution fee, admission fee ,development fee all come under 10500 only the examination fee we have to before the exam begin which is 2000 maximum that's all about the fee . There is scholarships given to the category students by delhi university after completing all formalities this is about the scholarships. If i talk about my batchmate she is pursuing bsc computer science for which she has toh pay 24000 anually it is kind of expensive course in my college. Thats all i know about her course and fee And our faculty is very good teachers are very cooperative. I think pursuing history honours in 10500 fee is worth for me qnd delhi university is a type of university which is giving this opportunity. Thank you I hope you will like my review ????best wishes .

Campus Life

4.5

Our college organise a annual function which is known as lehrein on that occasion our college invite many chif guests and the singer and dancer . Other college students of delhi university are also invited they also contribute in function by taking part in dance drama and many more cultural function this program held for teo days and one night . Talking about library all course necessary book are available of many different authors you can also issue books from library from your library card which is provided by the college library you can easily access books from library. Being a history honours studen I am not aware of much about technological provisions but my one batchmate told me that technological provision is also good. I am also in sports student of judo and kho kho it provide all facilities and equipment for sports. Yes there are many social groups and accounts on instagram.

Admission

I took an entrance exam and after qualifying that I was supposed to fill a preference list and then allotted colleges based on my preference list and my marks. No I didn't get any rejection letter from any college, because I only applied for university of Delhi. For getting admission in my college, one is supposed to clear cuet exam and fill preferred course and name of college and according to the cut off of the subject in that college, one will get admission after paying admission fee.

Faculty

5

The faculty is very nice and the relationship is aloso good . I personally like my own faculty which is history honours rest all faculty is also good . There is no faculty I don't like our trachers and professors are very calm and down to earth . Every year there is two semesters like this we have to give 8 semesters to get our degree. I don't think anyone fails but sometimes some lazy students who don't study get a back in a subject which they have clear by again giving the exam. The teachers teach us very perfectly there is no complain in my personal opinion being a student of that college i feel lucky

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
