Remarks

The college management is good apart from Registrar and Director. And yes I made several memories with I am proud of and I will never regret studying at this college it was a very good decision of mine to study here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

If you have a way with teachers than your degree will be completed without a hustle. And if you don't then you have to study and passing is relevantly very easy and is not a big task. The examination process is kind of a fair deal and yes if you have grudges with any of the teachers than your life would be tough in that subject as your paper would be checked with great strictness.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are very good for CSE/IT and as well as ECE was however not good for civil. This year more than 180 companies have visited our college however for interviews you have to go to the Noida branch which is JIIT.

College Events

3.5

Almost every event is celebrated but not on a huge scale as the Director and Registrar of the college does not give permission to celebrate them on a large scale. They both are really strict and do not listen to the student. Whereas VC is a nicer person than them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are nominal as compared to other universities it is basically 120000 per semester including the mess and hostel charges. And there are other expenses like security which is 10000 than they will take charges for fest which is 800 rs and that is in vain.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I dint opted for any scholarship or education loan as the fees of this college is comparatively lower than other private universities.

Campus Life

5

The campus is really beautiful and it is not very much expensive a person could live very happily with 100 rs per day. The gender ratio is basically not equal. The male ratio comprises 65% of the total population. The campus is really beautiful and peaceful. Extracurricular activities are not much but yes they did take us to 3 sports fest in the annual year. IIT MANDI, IIT ROPAR, AND GUNA.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel was the best part of our college as the rooms are really good and are provided with every facility a student requires at that atmosphere from blore to fans than Almira, study table, chair, bed, etc everything is provided and yes you can do anything in your room if you have the power to convince the guard which we did. Basically, they are good if you speak to them politely.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni and seniors are very helpful and every time ready to help their juniors be it for jobs or any other things. I am also still in touch with many of my seniors.

Admission

It is basically a normal procedure through you all India rank. You just have to fill the application form and go for counseling. And now even students with more than 10 lakh rank can get admission in this college. the process is like after the counseling section your all India rank will be displayed and then they will give you options about the streams which you can opt.

Faculty

2

The faculty of the college is good with many degrees they posses but most of the time not interested in teaching. The HOD of every department is very good and experienced fellows and teachers are also good and helpful but yes they don't teach with that sincerity.

Placement at JUIT begins from the 7th semester, core branches like cSE see good placements while Bioinformatics has limited on campus opportunities, Most of them opt for higher studies or research roles. I planned to go for job.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
