My honest review about Puducherry Technological University

My course gave me a vast idea of how electronics and communication systems work and espcially how important they are for the modern world. In addition I learned their fabrication processes as well. And by the Open elective courses I enrolled and the first year basics of all the departments I've got a small idea of what other departments may provide for the students.

There was a huge number of companies coming to our college before COVID-19 pandemic. But just after that our college turned into a university and thus decreasing it's value among other colleges in India. So now the placements are poor compared to what it had 3,4 years back. Now an average student can only get a placement of about 3LPA and it's not assured too.

I entered through CENTAC which is an admission procedure for Puducherry residents for my university. And the fee structure for me was 13,850 per year with a caution deposit of 10,000 to be paid only in the first year.

The social aspects of my college was too good rather than in the sports field. We had many clubs starting from literary to the drama club. And they kept on conducting programmes for the students to show their talents and to embrace their skills and talents. Many faculties was encouraging in that area as well.

The hostel of our college is way too old. But the rooms looked pretty decent to me. It has 5 sharing rooms in the ground floor as well as 2 sharing rooms in the first and second floors. And the food provided from the hostel is average. As per my opinion the 60,000 rupees is not worth for the hostel services they are providing.

Because it was cheaper than other engineering colleges and I've had more chance of getting into that government college with my residence in Puducherry. Other private college will only try to empty our pockets and then offer the academics. It's the case here also but with a less amount of money deducted from us comparatively.

The faculty to student ratio is very much less there. For some departments there are lack of faculties too. Gnanou Florence Sudha and Ananthalakshmi A V are the best and friendliest faculty in my department accodring to me. And Lakshmanapandian form CSE department was also good.
