Course Curriculum Overview
IT sector shows growth every year, that's why it was my choice as the curriculum. Provides real world examples and technologies to prepare for the applications and implementations. No need for improvements in curriculum
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year I paid 165000 and for the next 3 years I paid 160000. The additional 5000 were included as security deposit. I applied in my college through Management or Institute quota. The college accepts admission on the basis of your CET or JEE score (until 2023, now it conducts it's own entrance exam for admissions as well after deemed a university in 2024). The college under the TFWS, waives your fees to between 20000 and 30000 according to your score in CET or JEE. I don't know about the fees for SC or ST category, since I'm not one. Even most of my batchmates got entry through scholarship.
Campus Life
We have Pratishruti, which is the cultural fest held every year. We have Aaruni, held every year for freshers. We have a Central Library, which have books on wvery field. For sports, we have a football and cricket, a volleyball and a basketball ground. Projectors in every classroom. We have NSS, various clubs such as REEF, photography, technical and robotics club.
Admission
I applied to various NITs through JoSAA but ny percentile was not enough to accept me. In CAP rounds of CET, I was selected in Swami Vivekanand college in Mumbai but it was not quite affordable for me.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio differs from branch to branch, some may have less some may have more. But in my department's case, it's quite adequate. My department's faculty is supportive as well as approachable. Dr. P. D. Adane is best in the field of Operating Systems (was the HoD) Dr. P. J. Assudani is best in the field of Cloud Computing (3x AWS Certified, 3x Microsoft Azure Certified) Dr. R. K. Kadu is best in the field of Linux (Red Hat Certified) There are 2 unit tests with 1 or more teacher's assessment , as a part of internal marking scheme and final exam for every semester. For practicals, continuous evaluation is done in the practical's slot itself. No internal or external viva voce. The course curriculum is relevant.
