BITS PILANI Review

In terms of relevancy I will say the courses are 10/10 as the entire curriculum and books are followed of International Universities which gives a broad idea about industrial environment. There are practice school for 2nd and 3rd year students for getting the industrial exposure. Due to this curriculum, the BITSIAN (BITS students) get a great advantage for applying in any Foreign university for masters or PhD. There are lecture classes in which you are taught about the chapter and it's concepts are discussed. Then there are tutorial classes in which you can ask your doubts in various topics or questions related to the chapter. Teachers in usually teach on slides and sometimes use blackboard. The exams here test the in depth knowledge of the subject so the method of just memorizing doesn't work here.

There are about 80 clubs in BITS pilani. The clubs don't require and prerequisites or so. The seniors in the clubs are very supportive and helpful you to get an insight of things even if you don't know anything about the club. There's a club named The Wall Street Club where you get the funding from college to invest in stock market and make profits. Then there's a club called Mime club where you can show you dramatic skillsnand acting skills. It's really fun to participate in these clubs as you socialise with people , learn leadership or group work which will in future help you in your JOB life too. The clubs in BITS Pilani will provide you the knowledge of stuffs in the best way possible. I would say that join the clubs but don't make your studies suffer because of devoting extra time to the clubs.

First of all BITSAT is a very competitive exam. I got a good rank in JEE MAINS and Advanced and I was also getting IIT BHU Biotechnology but still I chose for BITS due to strong alumni network. ,BITS is comparable to top 6 IITs. The peer that you get here is totally going to make the 4 years of your college full of inculcating industrial skills and knowledge. Here there are many students who are discovering new skills and stuff. I would say that the peer of a person plays an important role in his/her life. There are many competitive programming clubs and competitions held like hackathon , etc. where the students of BITS Pilani compete.

Faculties can be approached by taking appointment from them through mail and then they will allot you a time to meet them on their chamber. There are about 10 faculties for each and every subject. So, choosing the professors according to your understanding is one of the biggest advantage of BITS Pilani. There will be suprise tests in tutorial classes , for which you have to study daily the notes and slide given in class. Then there will be Midsems and the final exam will be Comprehensive. The tests conducted may be OPEN BOOK or CLOSED BOOK. Also there is Workshop where students are taught about machine working in practical - Sheet metal , Smithy, CMCs ,etc. The exams are easy only if you study consistently. There are Labs conducted for Chemistry, Physics and Biology which are really very interesting (not boring and exhaustive like the ones conducted in schools)
