- College adminstration is very good as I and my batchmates never had any complaint about them, they were always ready to help
- Transport facility for the students is very good
- Hostel facility is very good and scholarship money was paid on time
Dislikes
- Engeneering departments only focused on theory learning
- Sports facility was below par as university only focused on academics
- Some professors cannot teach as they are not of that level
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is average as theory teaching is very good but at the same time practical teachings are very bad . There are hardly any tours outside the university. There should be practical teachings and teachers should make friendly environment.
Internships Opportunities
The internships offerd hod no stipend. The company's like JSW, Hiqmah would come frequently for freshers to get jobs. We had 2 projects, in one we had a which toppled and we had to get car to its upright position by using mechanical engineering. In second project we had to make a smart lock system for safety.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee is around 62000-65000 Rs. Tution fee, registration fee, admission fee, lab fee would come under this amount. All the students had same fee amount. Nsp scholarship was available for the students.
Campus Life
There are not many events held in University. There are some events held in summer months ( may - August) . Mechanical department where I am from has a student club namely DYNAMECX which is for the growth of students. This club holds event in the month of November.
Admission
I applied to Kashmir University and my admission was confirmed there but I chose this college because it was comparatively of low distance than Kashmir University and administration of Islamic University of science and technology is very good compared to Kashmir University.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good but some of them harsh and non approachable,they would scold you for like anything.Mehnaz sir was the teacher I liked the most as he was always ready to help and student friendly but some teachers used to do favouritism among students. There are 2 exams per semester, Mid term exam and End term . Theese exams are of good level.
