Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum covers a wide range of subjects including basic subjects like anantomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology and other clinical subjects providing a strong foundation reg Medical knowledge. But aspects such as modern medical technologies, soft skills training can be extensively covered

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship is quite hectic for students who just passed final year. Stipend is about 25000. Interns work very much and exhaust themselves. No work-life balance. No personal self care time or family time. Hostel and mess facilites for interns are not good.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 4 years the fee is charged. For first year upto nearly 120000.in second year 135000.in third year 140000 and in final year nearly 150000.This includes all expenses such as college fee hostel fee books special fee

Campus Life

4

No tests are conducted except for Vinayaka chavithi, freshers day and convocation day. Other fests are not conducted so we don't get chance to participate in extracurricular activities like dance, art. Our library doesn't have extensive accessibility to books and journals.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilites are not good. Food, electricity and water facilities need to be enhanced. We suffered many water and electricity related problems for the past 2 years atleast once in 4 months. They will repair but not immediately. Quality of food can still be improved.

Admission

I applied to andhra medical college and kurnool medical college. I got accepted in kurnool medical college as my marks are not sufficient for getting accepted to andhra medical college. And this medical college is near my home that too with good patient load and excellent medical facilities.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is 1:250 . Teacher to student one on one interaction is not quite common but due to availability of projectors, Mike's we are able to manage. Teaching is good. Mentorship program in which one mentor is incharge of 30 students take care of students and their academic performance. Mentorship program is very useful. 3 exams are conducted, 2 internals and a prefinal exam.

The time table of the circulum is best but they can still make it better by adding some revision classes for theory too. They have revision classes for practicals only . The classes are too fast so atleast they should add one revision class

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

The staff and the teaching make us feel happy for choosing this field. They give us pandemic modules and give us early clinical exposure so we can learn things earlier. But the teaching must not just stick on to classes but we need clinical training.

It was my dream to pursue mbbs. I had worked hard for 3 years to get qualify for neet and to get a seat in medical college. No crisis of faculties.I feel it's a better faculty students ratio when compared to other medical colleges..5 -8 faculties per department Faculty qualification: mbbs followed by MD or ms, super speciality also (some) , some: diploma in respective departments Yearly-based exams conducted on January -Feb It was slightly difficult to pass unless we study from starting of the academic year and understood & knowledge about the subject
