Remarks

Great college to Study, Bad College for Enjoying. It will come good as it is still a budding college. Soon, playgrounds will be there and lot of sports from our college will come up. But academically, this is one of the top places to be. You may think it maybe a new college, so it wouldn't be great. But, the academics are top class and you would be happy enough to come here for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is hard, draining and difficult. I can't have more adjectives but it is the result which is fruitful. You have to be a lifelong learner to be a doctor, so be prepared for that. It is a five and a half year course. Some patterns are changing in the future about the course and exam structure. The All over India course is still unsure and not clear It has changed the duration of each year but it hasn't changed in our college as it is autonomous. We don't have to follow any strict pattern of examination. There will be 1. Part Completion Tests after every unit. 2. Mid Term exams (1 and 2) 3. Terminal exams(1 and 2) 4. Internal Assessments during Seminars, Group Discussions, Fish Bowls, and Two-way Teachings (uncountable but it sure will add up to some part in final marks)

Placement Experience

4.5

Internship only. Placements doesn't mean anything in MBBS. You have to get into PG by writing the entrance exam after MBBS. Internship of 1 year is compulsory in all Medical colleges. It is included in the 5½ year course itself. It is an autonomous college so the stipend may vary. There has never been a intern here, so it is not yet clear.

College Events

2.5

Cerebration: It is a three-day Inter College Competition for Seminars in allotted topics. It is done by a group of 3 students who are put into an Elimination Round followed by Semifinals and Finals. Various colleges from AP were invited to this and it would expand over the future. It also had a Poster Competition and Model Making Competition. This is the only event conducted to date. All other events were small and unofficial. In the future, there are a few things planned 1. Intra-College Cultural Event 2. Ethnic Day 3. Intra-College Sports Event Inter College events would gradually come up.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible at only around 6000 rupees per year. It is a Central Govt. Institute and most of the student cost is paid by them. So it as low as around 6000 per year. So any student who is talented enough to clear the AIIMS - MBBS entrance exam can join here. Mess fee is around 99 rupees/day which is not expensive either.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee in itself is mostly paid by the Central Govt. So it is just around 6000 per year. Research works will be funded intramural to some extent and the stipend will only be given by Research Organisation like ICMR. There wouldn't be any requirement of Scholarship and Loan Facility for the student.

Campus Life

4

It is a budding college. The laboratory facility is and will be wonderful. The extracurricular activities haven't started in full fledged manner. But the present students are working on it and soon will be a reality. It takes time to setup all these things in a new college. But it will come up. Right now, there is a small educational event called Colloquium and there is a freshers. All festivals are celebrated. The last one was DIWALI and lot more are coming up. Embrace up!

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is having two types of rooms. Rooms which accommodate 1 student only and the other is for 2 students. There is a separate hostel for UG Boys, UG Girls, PG Boys, PG Girls, PG Married, Nursing, and B. Sc.(Boys and Girls). Only MBBS is functional now and it is good. The mess is close by with good food. Typically Andhra Food, so newbies from Kerala and TN, northern India would not like it as much, but it is good in its own way. But North Indians here have made Roti compulsory in the mess. So you could adjust well here.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are the ones who make you do things which you never have done. You will enjoy that phase but this college doesn't allow a bit of interactions i.e. ragging at all. So juniors don't understand the importance of this. The bonding between them. But they help you in all exams. They make people who think they can't pass, pass. They help make better students who respect the teachers and seniors. They make sure that we should do the same for the upcoming juniors.

Admission

You get admission into this college through AIIMS exam as it is an autonomous institute. The exam is in MCQ pattern of subjects PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, GENERAL KNOWLEDGE and MENTAL ABILITY. An online counseling will be conducted through which you will be allotted colleges. The counselling procedures are easy to understand as they clearly state all the rules on the website from time to time. There will be four rounds of counseling and the last will be held as mop up round in DELHI at AIIMS, Delhi itself.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are really great. They support you. The teacher-student ratio is astounding. They come from variety of backgrounds. They are from JIPMER, other AIIMS, AFMC, other Govt. Medical Colleges from various states in India. Their teaching is great and if you want to just go to college for studying, this is a great place to be.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based. I chose this course cause of my sister., she is also studying in our college. There is a bit of spoon feeding here. But the person who studies on their interest only gets good marks. The timings for the exams are not so bad but are difficult to complete the given syllabus in time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.
