Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our curriculum is CBME based. I chose this course cause of my sister., she is also studying in our college. There is a bit of spoon feeding here. But the person who studies on their interest only gets good marks. The timings for the exams are not so bad but are difficult to complete the given syllabus in time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise college fee is about 15000 and hostel fee is about 60000 per year. All the other fees are included in the above mentioned cost. There will be extra 2,000 should be paid as admission fee. All the other necessaries like books, apron, sthethescope and other stationary required are to bought seperately. There are scholarships that can be applied online. There is a state wise scholarship named jvd for sc and st castes.

5

There are many events like college week, sports week, academic week and many more in our college. There are almost every type of book related to MBBS are available and many generes, journals are also available in our library. The classrooms are provided with ac's and Mike's. And also there is a digital board or projector in every classroom. We can learn and practice many sports. We have big ground in our men's hostel. There are also many clubs, portals are made by us students.

Hostel Facilities

4

I stay in the hostel of our AMC college which is in the hospital premises. The hostel is provided with library, cafeteria, gym room, tv room, shuttle court, throwball court, a stage, library, reading room and also garden. The meal quality is good, the quantity is limitless. There are different type of veggies in the menu with a fry, curry and dal rasam, curd are common. rotis are also provided during night. We have nonveg thrice a week. We have feast once a month. The price is 60000 per year including every facility. There will be extra charges for visitors if they eat here.

Admission

I only applied for this college firstly. I chose this college because of my sister. I want to stay close to her. And also by her review about this college. I was remarked that AMC is best college to study clinics. This is the first college I got selected and since I want to join here I didn't applied for other colleges. To join any MBBS college you should first write a written exam called neet. A national test to join MBBS. Every age group starting from 17 years and every caste are eligible to write this exam. The cutoffs are based on the college position and caste also.

Faculty

5

The faculty are in good number but the students are more. The relationship is good between us students and the professors. There are also mentors for every 15 students for each subject and they guide us in studies as well as our day to day life. There are total of 5 exams which is of 3 internals, 1 prefinal and 1 final (external). There will be also gold medal exams which are written by the students who are interested. The final paper is prepared by the main university for every college so the paper is same for private and government medical Colleges. The internals are conducted individually by their own college and our college AMC internals are difficult than final. But they help us to study everything and help in our finals and gold medal exams.

Night Life

3

The campus is provided with library, cafeterias near it. Coming to our hostels we have every facility like gym, library, reading room, tv room, shuttle court, throwball court, a stage and garden. The hostel timings are 6 in the morning to 9 in the evening. The college timings are 8 am to 4 or sometimes 5 pm. There will be a lunch break at 12 noon. The locality is not so safe especially to women to roam around at night.

The time table of the circulum is best but they can still make it better by adding some revision classes for theory too. They have revision classes for practicals only . The classes are too fast so atleast they should add one revision class

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

It was my dream to pursue mbbs. I had worked hard for 3 years to get qualify for neet and to get a seat in medical college. No crisis of faculties.I feel it's a better faculty students ratio when compared to other medical colleges..5 -8 faculties per department Faculty qualification: mbbs followed by MD or ms, super speciality also (some) , some: diploma in respective departments Yearly-based exams conducted on January -Feb It was slightly difficult to pass unless we study from starting of the academic year and understood & knowledge about the subject
