Bits Pilani: Its Magic

The course curriculum is great. 1st year is same for everyone which teachers us about the basics of engineering which everyone should know. After that the course is your stream specific which is relevant to the modern culture in our society.

College provides all the first degree students with 2 internships. Interships are offered by top drawer companies like Google, Microsoft, Intel, HP, Nvidia, Amazon, JP Morgan, Apple, Adobe, Samsung, Qualcomm and many more Mncs and indian companies. So you can expect that the interships are quite good.

The placement of bits is really great. Bits gets us 2 internships by themselves depending upon your cgpa. Many of the students get ppo's from their interships. Almost 92% students got placed in pilani campus of bits last year in the time of recession with a great average and median package which shows the placement scenario is great.

2.5 lakh fees per semester which is increased by 10% every year. Two types of scholarship: Merit and merit cum need Merit: top 1% students depending on cgpa gets 100% scholarship and the next 2% gets 50% Mcn: top 7% gets 100% next 15% students get 50% and next 25% student gets 25%

The 3 main fests of bits are BOSM (bits open sports meet) held in sept, Oasis(the cultural fest) held in October, Apogee(the technical fest) held in april. Oasis is the 2nd largest fest in Asia hosting 12k students each year and all the fests are student run in bits so that shows the involvement and the level of students studying here. There are about 150 clubs in bits and all of them are student run and are really active and achieving great heights. The sports facilities are good with almost all the sports available on the campus.

Hostel facilities are great as compared to the price they are offered. We get everything you need to stay in hostel. The mess food is also great and the quality of meals is top notch. Renting a room/pg is not possible in pilani generally due to the remote location but there are a lot of other facilities available for higher degree and phd students

I got accepted in all of the private engineering colleges and a lot of government colleges but none of them are comparable to bits such as vit, manipal, thapar, srm, nits and 2nd gen iits. The admission process is really simple and available on the bits website, the common exam to be accepted in bits is bitsat, there are other ways of admission for students with foreign passport too.

The faculties overall are really good here since bits is one of the best colleges in India, the teachers are top notch and you can make your own timetable here with your favourite teachers and there is no attendance policy too so all of it makes the college really awesome
