Course Curriculum Overview

There are some unnecessary subjects which have very old curriculum but it is the case only for first year. In later years subjects related to department are taught. The syllabus is quite old and is rarely changed.

Internships Opportunities

Students have to complete two internships before graduation. One is of 15 days and one is of 6 months. The students have to also complete one project of their own . The college provides internships to students.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placement from seventh semester. The highest package varies from 7 to 8 lakhs per annum. I plan on completing masters of engineering in future . The average package lies between 4-5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 40 thousand per semester and the college comes under gtu. The admission fees is 10 thousand. There are also tfws seats in which free education is provided. There is also a separate quota for sc/st/obc students

Campus Life

A tech fest named prakarsh is held every year and also a annual function named malhar is also held every year. There is also a sports week in which there is a inter- department competition. There are also various clubs for various departments.

Hostel Facilities

There are no hostels in college campus. One has to look for hostels outside the college which can become quite costly and inconvenient. The travel to college also become a hassle and tiring thing. The hostels are also very far.

Admission

I didn't apply to other colleges because I was sure that I want to pursue aeronautical engineering and I was sure about this college. The admission process was quite smooth and easy. It was not time consuming.

Faculty

There are sufficient amount of faculties. There are 2 midsem exams for every department out of which the best of 2 is counted and then there is a external exam conducted by gtu. The exams are moderate in toughness.

balanced with learning and challenges

Placement Experience:

the placement at vgec at decent, especially considering it is a government college with very low fees. student become eligible for campus placement from the 6 th and the main placement drives begin in the 7 th and 8 th semesters. many well known compnies visit the camppus every tear for software , core engineering and management roles. compnies like TCS, infosys, wipro , taat consultancy, adani, gsfc,and a few stertup hire students from different branches. the number of offers varies every year , but the overall trend is improving . some companies offer multiple job roles such as software engineer , QA engineering , embendede engineering , trainee engineering and analyst position . higher pacage is 5 lacks. after completing my degree , i plan to focus on improving my technical skills .

Decent college with room to grow

Placement Experience:

studemts become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester.The placement acitivity keeps happening throghout the final year.companies like TCS,Tata LTIindtree,wipro and few local startup like tcs and ltimindtree and the avg pakage stays on the lower sidw compared to big private colleges,The opporrinties are there ,but not as many as we expect. the percnatage of stundents getting placed depends a lot on the batch ,but it's definitely not 100%. A good number of students get interships or jobs their own efforts also,beacuse some companies dont visit every year.if a student if genuinely working on skills and projects,they can manage to get something , but the college placements alone might not be enough for evryone. after completing my degree, l plan to work on my technical skills and try for better opportunities throgh of campus options as well.i don't want to depend only on the on capus placements.my goal is to build a good portfolio so i can apply to bigger companies later.

My Life at D.D.I.T

The placement are one of the best in Gujarat for chemical engineering as the average package is on the higher side, at 6,50,000 and the highest package has reached 16,00,000. - students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement - some companies that have visited are Reliance Atul Bear L&T G.S.F.C Etc - around 70% of the batch was placed last year. - my plan is to prepare for Gate examination after/around my graduation.

Current Details of SVIT

Honestly I targeted SVIT, because it was near by vadodara, easy to travel and timings were also good enough to get adpoted with. The fews structure and environment their is much better than other colleges. The admission process is through ACPC, vacant quota, management quota and SC/ST quota. I got admission through vacant quota after 2nd round of ACPC. The cutoff for ACPC in Computer Engineering at my admission time was 5000. And for vacanct quota it was extended to 9000 after 3rd round of ACPC . The admission process was smooth. I applied in PDPU(PDEU) and Lj university ahmedabad. I chose this college because 1) It is one of the best and renowned college inour region 2)The feels is comparatively too less.Yes my application in Nirma University(ahm) got rejected because i couldn't clear the cutoff of CSE of that college.The admission process in SVIT is simple you if youre alloted seat through ACPC or you need to visit the campus for management quota.The exams required here are 12th PCM and GUJCET or JEE.The exam most preferred here is GUJCET as it is simpler than JEE the cutoff of SVIT for CE was 7000 rank (GUJCET) this year....Read More
