Current Details of SVIT

Many workshops like AI, Blockchain, Drone projects, AR VR ,etc takes place during every semester. On addition to that Industrial visits are held atleast once in every semester in every branch. This all provides with glimpses of technological and corporate aspects. Syllabus undertaken is provided by GTU. The exams timings are quite good i.e 10:30 to 11:45 , is provided for 30 marks internal examination. And on average 95% of students clears the internals. The external exam are taken by GTU.

An organisation named Edunet Foundation has tie up with SVIT, which provides corporate and technical training to enrolled students from 2nd year which has modules of SAP, Power BI, cybersecurity, raspberry Pi 4, ML, Generative AI, Employbility skills, etc. Also the college organise Summer camp for school students free of cost in Summer vacation. The college has collaborated with ROBOFEST community.

Since 4th semester mock placement drives are taken in college to make the students ready . From 7th semester the students are eligible for company drives. Almost 30 -40 companies visited for campus recruitment in span of 6 months. The companies take 3-7 candidates or more as per their requirements. The highest package offered is of 6 Lakhs per Annum , followed by average package of 4 Lakhs per Annum. I am interested in data analytics field but there are fewer openings for it in Gujarat. The college also has seminars in collaboration with IMS which provides the view of corporate life scenarios and let us prepare with gate questions or aptitude test.

The few structure when I got admission (at 2021) was nearly around 85,000 in first year, following by 76,000 in following years. The admission slot fee is 10,000 for prior admission. The 76,000 includes fest fees, sports material usage fee, tution fees, other amenities usage charge. For SC/ ST the first sem fees of around 45,000 was taken and from next semester onwards,they have to avail SC/ ST scholarship, by that their fees were paid by central government. From the previous year (2024-25) the first year fees was 95,000.

Once a year a national symposium named Prakrash is held in which technical and non technical events are organised which is open to welcome to students from college and all over Gujarat. Following by cultural events like Malhar, traditional day, theme day, navratri celebration, yoga day, women's day, etc. The college library has physical book system and ebook system which consists of technical books, Ramayana, mahabharata, self help books, communication books, stories, encyclopaedia, etc. Weekly and monthly journals are available in library. The classrooms possess smart board system, cctv camera, presentation cover, ACs, etc. Sports is promoted highly in college. Almost every year, over 70 students participate in AIU ie All India University under GTU team . A personalize app name SVIT CMS is there to collect digital data of students which is open for students also.

Honestly I targeted SVIT, because it was near by vadodara, easy to travel and timings were also good enough to get adpoted with. The fews structure and environment their is much better than other colleges. The admission process is through ACPC, vacant quota, management quota and SC/ST quota. I got admission through vacant quota after 2nd round of ACPC. The cutoff for ACPC in Computer Engineering at my admission time was 5000. And for vacanct quota it was extended to 9000 after 3rd round of ACPC . The admission process was smooth. Also every year, mock GUJCET is taken in college and top scorer gets waiver on fees .

Each department has minimum 15 faculties. The faculties are responsive, interactive and supportive in nature. The engineering section has 2 internal exam approach followed best of you method. In first internal there is almost 60% syllabus. For practicals , during the semester 2 submissions are taken . For the students who fail in both internal, a remedial exam is taken in which the appropriate candidate will get fixed12 marks i.e passing marks if he/ she provides the content for same.

The cafeteria is spacious. In addition to that the whole campus is surrounded by trees and gardens to make the atmosphere warmer. The college is electrically operated on solar energy. The campus timing is from 9:45 to 4:30 officially. Hostel facilities are also available for students and PGs are also available. The timings are comfortable enough to get home max by 6:15 pm. The famous hangout spot is cafeteria red room, pavillion sitting.
