Likes

I likes the environment of my college every teacher was very helpful and staff was very cooperative students do not need to panic if they are moving to new city
Every college has big ground and big canteens and canteens at affordable rates so students can opt to eat in college canteen rather than eating outside
overall you get a very good exposure in Delhi University once you graduate you will always thank DU

Dislikes

There is more of a discrimination based on the place you belong to
Transportation is an issue if you’re living far away from college if you don’t want to use the bus as transportation metro will cost huge amount
Fests are good but mostly unorganised safety gets one of the major issues for girls there’s heavy crowd during fest but no management

We had all the subjects that could be for our benefit i would say well choosen subjects by the faculty and the way faculty teachers teach us plays the major role for that curriculum to be in our favour exams keep happening every 6 months or after every semester so you must be prepared for it

TCS was one companies that one of my frnd got internship at they provide you mangerial jobs and as per you preferred activites Internships flourish in Du there are always opportunities for one but you must be aware about them

There are placement cells in colleges you must be in contact with them they have best advice and information to get you some jobs few of my batchamtes got 9LPA bY doing Bcom Of course not everyone gets placed but the average package was 30000 which is decent so it was good

Fees and Financial Aid

I was from general category and paid 22000 fees for 3 years which excluded exam fees My batchmates paid the same fees but some of them were not financially sound so they had option for a scholarship that would reimburse their fees upto 5000 per semester i guess this is the best option for the one who wants to study in Du it has very minimum fees

Campus Life

After graduation i would always miss DU it has special role to play in me building confidence and being social person participation in clubs socities plays a vital role in personal development so never hasistate to take part in one Sports and NSS and NCC are major activities that students go fot

Admission

I belong to general category and my percentage was 96 and i chose this college only after i knew the faculty from seniors there were other colleges as well but my college had the best exposure compared to other collges i could have been admited to i got admited by 12th boards marks so no entrace exam for me just 12th marks and on

LIFE AS A DU SOL STUDENT

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Overall College life experience.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

Placement Experience:

SSNC have a placement cell which provides internship details and also shat company hiring details. 3rd and 4th semester students are eligible for internship Highest average package is approx 12 LPA and average price is approx 5LPA and actually I don't know which company give the highest and to whom.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. Overall College life experience.

Along with Gargi college I chose some North campus colleges too because of high NIRF ranking . Due to high cut-off and belonging from a general category usually students are not able to crack north campus colleges. This is the main reason why competition is high and seats are less of we look at yearly registrations. You need to give CUET right after completing 12th standard in order to get into top ranked colleges. This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

I have applied many college such as IPU and other colleges of DU IPU have very costly and expensive fees structure where in DU have cheap. But DU addmission is based on CUET marks.
