What Students Say
Likes
- The eco friendly environment, thinking about the environment in all aspects. The campus is very serene and peaceful.
- All the facilities available within the campus and the location is also really good and accesible.
- The teacher's are really well trained and the quality of education is commendable.
Dislikes
- Lack of student engaging activites. No fests no camps or visits from the university are sponsored or allowed. The basic functions like farewell or freshers, we have to do it on our own that too secretly.
- Lack of boys and girls interaction. The university is said to be co-ed but still the classes are segregated in many courses and boys and girls are not allowed to even sit together in the campus. Such rules are over restrictive.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very effective, easy to learn and well organized. Subjects vary every semester and every subject tesches a different skill and perspective about the course. The syllabus is also kept to the point and along with the knowledge of theoretical subjects, professionalism and other personality traits are being taught simultaneously.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are seen only in well established faculties such as faculty of engineering and faculty of social sciences. Placement cells are made and the organize the orientation and interviews regarding placement and internship programs for all faculties. Companies like Kadence, birla group and IBM visit for recruiting fresh minds for their internship programs. Apart from such faculties, some recently formed faculties like faculty of architecture, doesnt provide internship from their side but the students do find their internship on their own. I personally worked as an architectural intern in Studio Saarth Jaipur for 6 months and it was a great experience. A lot to learn in a the real workd i recommend doing atleast one internship in whatever field you are in during your graduation for better understanding the work processes in the real world out of this college life.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is made as per the semester. The fees for a whole semester (6 months) is 2350/- INR and submitted through the online SBI portal directly to the universities band account. No additional charges are applied until you're not optiong for hostel from the university.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is great, made in traditional open brick construction, the buildings give you a sense of the older era of british buildings. Every faculty has its own building and lots of landscape wrapping all the blocks together forms a serene campus. No such annual fests are organized. Annual convocation is held in month of January or February. Drama festivals in three languages are organized which is an inter-school and inter-college competition for 3 days, its mainly organized in November or december. Sports matches are organized between the faculty teams in the main ground and they keep doing these sports races or team games throughout the semester. No such students clubs or portals are there.
Admission
Dayalbagh Educational Institute is not just a college but a whole different paradigm of living life. I personally referred to this college due to my connection to this community Dayalbagh since childhood. Apart from this, the environment here is much safer and eco friendly rather than any other college of India right now. I applied in Amity gwalior for Bachelors of Architecture course and even got 100% scholarship there, but as i said here in DEI its comparatively safe and secured and also its in reach of my home and agra is ny hometown so i decided to go for it. The admission process here consists of the eligibility entrance examination of the university which is conducted in online mode but in the campus only. Registration fees is submitted, entrance exam is conducted, furthurmore interviews are conducted and merit is formed on the basis of marks obtained in both the exams.
Faculty
The faculty members are generally really good at teaching their respective subjects but as a person, they lack of understanding. I've heared news of some faculty members torturing the students mentally, by usind abusive languages, demotivating the students and commenting on their private lives. Some of the faculties that are highly seen and heared in such scenarios are faculty of architecture, faculty of engineering and faculty of science. Apart from such teachers, there are still some great Gurus present here that are very respective very understanding and kind and the truly need an applaud. Apart from this, the examination structure is really great, an average student can also score 90% if he's aware of the system. There is a scheme of daily examination called the DHAs, apart from them Class tests of marks 40 are conducted twice a semester worth 40 marks, finally the final end sem exmans are conducted worth marks 50. Additional assignments are taken and total 200 marks are calculat
