Adventurous life of Engineering Students in Dayalbagh Educational Institute

The infrastructure of the campus is vintage as it's one of the oldest institutes of Agra.
The faculties have their own Training and Placement Cell (TPC). It not only helps students acquire jobs in the industry, but also provide proper training opportunities for every student.

Dislikes

You've to go for service in the first year and for National Service Scheme (NSS) Camp.
The facilities are not very good in this university but it's sufficient in our courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite good, if you see in terms of difficulty. You have to manage your assignments too with exams. The last month of the semester always stay hectic there, due to the workload and regular exams. But it prepares us for real world problems, because you've to face problems daily while doing a job. The CT 2 held just before the External Examination and there is not any gap between them. The marks distribution for internal examination is like this: DHA CA. CT1. CT2 AA ATT. 40. 40. 40. 40. 20. 10. Only 2 among 3 are chosen between CA, CT1 & CT2. The total marks of internal examination is 150 while the total marks of external examination is 50. So the weightage is 75:25.

I obviously liked the affordability. Fees was too low for a professional course like bsc agriculture hons
The college is co-ed. There is no gender discrimination apparently

Dislikes

Lack of classrooms. Most of times, we had to sit on the ground in the lawn
Teachers were way too strict in terms of discipline and attendence

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has a wide scope in both government and private sector. I'm sure nobody can stay unemployed after pursuing this course. The curriculum made me all rounder and made my knowledge vast because of which I'm fully prepared for the real world applications Teaching methods could be improved by teaching us practical skills apart from the theory. Don't just make us do weeding only in your gardens and farms. We could learn a lot more in agriculture, like soil testing, microbiology, food science, etc. In practicals. Timing of exams was frequent as it included daily class tests too.

Those students cleared 4 semester with above 8 sgpa is eligible for campus placement interviews Morethan 12 campany comes of our college and 2-3 companies are India level Highest package of this year is 8.20 lacs per annum and average package 6.5lacs per annum And our college students joined as company profiles is HR and their intern 77% student are placed in placement and other going to higher studies I'm joined as HR in software services company

Likes

The eco friendly environment, thinking about the environment in all aspects. The campus is very serene and peaceful.
All the facilities available within the campus and the location is also really good and accesible.

Dislikes

Lack of student engaging activites. No fests no camps or visits from the university are sponsored or allowed. The basic functions like farewell or freshers, we have to do it on our own that too secretly.
Lack of boys and girls interaction. The university is said to be co-ed but still the classes are segregated in many courses and boys and girls are not allowed to even sit together in the campus. Such rules are over restrictive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very effective, easy to learn and well organized. Subjects vary every semester and every subject tesches a different skill and perspective about the course. The syllabus is also kept to the point and along with the knowledge of theoretical subjects, professionalism and other personality traits are being taught simultaneously.

My course was decent good. Diploma Course will help me to start from the basics of the engineering world now i am capable of doing Industrial work as well as I have good knowledge in theory as well and i can manage events too which happen in my college. I thought teachers the way they teach they have to change their way to teach us well everything was good but a little bit from our side and a little bit from their side. Difficulty Level was quite good 40 marks CT within 90 Min And External 50 Marks of 2hr But question difficulties were not as easy as we thought

Timing of classes are not fixed due to which precious time of students get wasted

Placement Experience:

Placements of college is good, most of the students get placed from the campus. Average package of the campus is approx 3 lakh per annum. Big companies like tata, mahindra,etc. Came for hiring students. Some decide to pursue higher education in their field. My plan is to get good placement after the degree.

The campus is well developed with so much facilities inside for better understanding.
The teachers are very understanding and easy to talk.

Dislikes

Mobile phones are not allowed to be used inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good here. From 5th semester the students get eligible for the placement. There is a team of student also who take care of the placement an other things. The highest package the students get here is around 20 lacs.

DEI with its pros and cons, a survey.

Likes

What I liked in Dayalbagh Educational Institute is the ambience, greenery and campus in the first place.
Lastly, the budget friendly aspect of the college is above all facilities. DEI is not meant only for the rich brats but people below than average class

Dislikes

Infrastructure for some reasons is not that remarkable. DEI management needs to work on it.
Lastly, the office staffs are literally the laziest. They'll make each student wait for the work they need immediately.

For the course curriculum it is very comprehensive and relevant in terms of the subject matter because the courses are made by keeping in mind the increasing competition of the day-to-day life. In some courses syllabus might be in a concise and compact form but the brevity will not affect the students' horizon to be shortened. For the exams, DEI has open book system as it has been applied this current year only, so on one hand it has become easy for the students to acquire good grades but on the other students need to use their brains as direct questions aren't asked. Questions are being made tricky purposefully so that students don't only copy but also can give their own interpretation and understanding about the matter.

Likes

Most of the teachers of commerce faculty are so frank with the students, as they direct and guide the students to the right path.
Proper parking field is maintained and vehicles are safe to keep there.

Dislikes

Mobile Phones are not allowed in the campus, which is not fair as the students who lives far away from the college

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is not too high. The initial average placements after completing the graduation would be around three lakhs per annum. But Talking about the ROI, the colleges do its best in returning the investment we made.

Great ROI but no college life

Likes

The campus is really nice. There is a lot of greenery, freshness. You can easily find peacocks and many beautiful animals and birds roaming around.
The fees is extremely low. It's even lower than most schools. It's around 7500 per semester for B.Tech. and around 4000 for other courses. So, it makes a great ROI as you can easily save the money.

Dislikes

They follow an old curriculum. It's honestly the same with every Indian college but all the courses are old. They'll teach you basics of C or Java whereas in reality you need much more to get a good job.
It's not for people who want to have a 'college life'. There are no fests, programs as such. There is a lot of strictness. You will need to abite by their rules.

Placement Experience:

Placements are alright, I would say. They are not very good, neither are they bad. For B.Tech., average package is around 4.5 to 5 LPA, highest package was 15 LPA and lowest package was 3 LPA. They have a lot of connections, so they make sure that each and every student gets placed. If you are someone who has good communication skills and a bit of knowledge of your domain, you won't face much difficulty in getting both internships and a placement offer. They do focus on GATE exam or Masters a lot and also have dedicated classes for it. Companies that visit are- Cadence, MfilterIt, NeenOpal, Keysight Technologies, etc. Mostly all the companies hire atleast 4-5 students and the roles are open for Electrical students mostly. Around 70% of students have got placed till now and 20% are planning for masters.
