College is very very strict and takes academics seriously.
There is no support for sports and other activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is inspired from Stanford university. College has mandatory 75% attendance and students not mantaining it would not be allowed to sit in exam. Subjects are quite boring but required and yearly updated as per unmiversity criteria. there is one Midsem and one Endsem in one semister of 4-5 months.

Internships Opportunities

There are lot of opportunities for interships in college. Many companies come for internship also PICT provide inhouse internship both for Technical and Research domains. It is hard to get a internship in Electronics field but if you are going for IT side and softwere there are lot of opportunities.

Placement Experience

There are some 150 companies come to colleg every year nearly 95% are placed with good packages. Also the average package of CE is 15lpa, for IT 14lpa for ENTC 11-12lpa. Also the highest package goes to 50-55lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

PICT's engineering fees are 92000 annually, including tution and other charges. Schorlarships like merit-cum-need and government aid for SC/ST/BC/PWD/EWS students are available. Fees may increase yearly, with reserved categories paying less.

Campus Life

PICT's campus life is quiet boring. Like college only focus on academics. Due to very small campus there is no opportunities for sports. But yeah regarding clubs there are many technical clubs where you can join and learn or explore thigs. Infrastructure is not impressive.

Hostel Facilities

Girls hostel is good also safe. Taking about boys hostel it's good but quiet expensive they provide a bed, chair and study table. Locally you can get lot of PGs and mess as the are is all filled with colleges and institute. Also for fast food there are many shops.

Hostel Fee: INR 135000 per year

Admission

Firstly the college has great placement and technical events when compared to the other colleges. Also the return on investment is amazing as average package is 12-15lpa and fees is 92k without scholarship.

Faculty

Faculties are highly qualified and intelligent. Exams are taken seriously also practice tests are taken before the exams. Failed students or the slow learners have to do extra classes. There is easy to score in exams provided you studied enough, but it's hard to get good in Internals and practical exam.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
