- In school of open learning(DU) the things I like the most is I was not bounded to attend classes everyday that gives me the opportunity for part time job so that I was able to earn some mony and support my family.
- Weekly physical classes was the best part it gives us all learning of subjects rest online classes routine was the best part.
Dislikes
- In school of open learning of Delhi University there were no proper sitting facility in classroom.
- the condition of classrooms were very bad most of the time fans & AC were out of order.
- some faculty also were not so serious towards their roles and responsibilities towards education.
Course Curriculum Overview
Sincerely, there is no specific reason to choose this course I was needed some course in which i can get some space for some part time job & that is why i choose school of open learning. And it was good enough for me. Curriculum prepared me well enough in real-word becouse I get importent learning from my course's sub & faculty as well subjects like education & pol. science are directly related to real life experiences, so overall it was good for real-word prespective. According to me course curriculum is a complete packae for tis course ut yes in teacing method some brainstormig techniques can be added like group discusson. online live group chat option on subjective topics. Also, for teachers they shoud focus on basics of each student so that every student can take benifits of the course. Frequency and timimg of exams was propriate in all manners it was a good timing in noons 2:30 to 5:30 always and it was very convinient.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have completed my graduation from school of open learning(SOL), Delhi University. My year-wise fee was 4200 rupees. No extra fees was there like Tution fees, caution fees, lab fees etc; everything was included in thhat 4200 rupees because of it was SOL. And it was same for all General, OBC, SC, & STs. No scholarship or financial aid were awailale for SOL students.
Campus Life
As I already mentioned it was school of open learning so there is no such kind of thing like cumpus life & blah blah. We were completely free to do whatever we want to do except attending our weekly classes and online classes. In Scool of Open Learning you get only books related to your syllabus no extra book you get from there so thereb] are no permanent library is there. Classrooms are average not so porche but yeah students can study. No sport and eextracurricular activities offered in school of open learning. No any student-run social ggroups, clubs were there only student partal was there whhere students can study online and gget information about important exams dates and admit cards issuing etc.
Admission
As i've preveously mentioned that i need some space for part time job because my father passed away my family was in financial crisis so i have no choice except school of open learning. I never applied for other colleges becouse all of these things which were happening to me and my family. Admission process to get admission in Schhool of open learning is completely. In Scool of open learning there is no any specific criteria like gate exam or cutoffs, you need to 12thh passed only. So, its a simplest process ever to get admission there in School of Open Learning.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:60. Faculty to student relationship was good and as usual everybody taste is different we like some faculty and sometime we dont. Overall the all faculties were approachable enough. Mr. Arun was our English proffessor i liked te most because he has the unique teaching techniques. And he has a great sense of humour. One of our faculty i dont like is ''Mrs Manju'', Our political science professor i foud her selfish kind of person most of the time. I think se was not sincere to her job. There are total six semsters in B.A . Every semster carry four exams of related subjects.I feel Education was the most easiest subject because the syllabus was to relevent. All exams was fair enoug but i think Political Science was the toughest one becasue of periodic dates was to difficult to keep tem remeber every time. Apart from that every thing was fine and i have successfully completed my graducation with first divison. Overall is was fun and amazing journey .
