Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very much similar to the hons one (I'm pursuing bcom prog). Its the same in all the colleges of DU. And now that NEP is here its even better. YOu have various entry and exit options throughout your degree.
Placement Experience
Well to be very honest, the placements here on paper is great but actually its mostly sales and marketing jobs wich no one prefers. So I wont even dare to rely on college placements. But the placements are getting better each year that is for sure. I have seen the data, I have given interviews for several internships as well during the annual internship and placement drives, its not that bad but you cant rely on these as as of now the diversity is missing, which will get better with each better batch coming i'm sure.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees is comparatively more than other DU colleges but the college is well maintained, has good infra and cleanliness. Its off campus and the area is not at all good. The crowd of the college is inclined more towards SC-STs(jaat gujjars) which is not decent. The faculty is great tbh but the canteen could be better.
Campus Life
there are several societies and cells like Enactus, The Entrepreneurship cell, The training and placement cell etc. But the crowd is not driven and some societies are near to dead. Infrastructure is good, clean and fresh but the canteen is a mess, the food is okay, the library is okay too but there is no good seminar hall. There is one decent multipurpose hall which is always locked and given access to only when there is some BIG event like paper presentation (in which there are mostly teachers who are participating). The campus life is ZILCH broo frr..its shit!
Admission
I wanted to study from DU and this is the college I got. I fucked up while filling the preference list as I was in te experimentory batch of NEP giving CUET for the very first time. But anyways you should try your best to enter the north or south campus colleges. You'll enjoy the environment there which is very very different from the off campus college environment. I gave the IPMAT exam as well but I chose DU cz of the difference in fees which is drastically low here. I'd prefer giving CAT for masters. BUt i'd say if you are financially sound, then try clearing IPMAT over off campus colleges like mine
Faculty
Great faculty, helpful, friendly, approachable (atleast in the commerce department that i know of). My personal favourite are priyanka mam and neha bootra mam (both teach finance related subjects). They always have things and facts to share that makes you think out of the box and i personally love it. The exams are not too difficult but make sure you study the concepts and not just for the sake of the exam. Try maintaning greater than 8 cgpa throughout. It will help you ion further studies(masters) placements and even migration.
