Course Curriculum Overview
Actually I opted for computer engineering but got IT due to my percentile. I feel the problem is in all engineering colleges that we have advanced so much in technology ,still syllabus wise it's all same for years..same things are taught to us..that have less relevance to jobs. Students must be kept well updated to tech. I suggest that new curriculum is hard , previous one was fine..since learning all units for end sem exam is hard..and will burden students mind. The timing and frequency of exams is fine but this year colleges are starting very late..but even that if they don't give time to students and take exams on fixed timing.
Internships Opportunities
Institute has strong industry network which facilitates numerous internship placements for students.the college has active placement cell that assists in finding relevant interships. They organize pre-intership training, workshops and counseling sessions.
Placement Experience
In fourth year, last semester students take placements. 244 companies visited. 20 LPA was highest package for IT branch and average package was 12.52 LPA. Companies like Accenture, ADP, Atlas Copco India Ltd, Bosch India, Cognizant, Deloitte, Forbes Marshell and many more. 50+ companies every year arrange off campus placements for students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The whole year fees for OPEN category is 1,92,945 , but I took admission from OBC So my fees was 1,11,641. For OPEN :Tuition fees-162608, Development fees -24392, Eligibility -600(1100 for OMS ), exam fees-2200, Misc. Univ fees-3145 Now only tuition fees is different for different categories and I will mention them below: OBC,EWS,EBC,SEBC-81314 The tuition fees is 0 for following categories - TFWS, VJ/NT, SBC, ST,SC, PWD ,ORPHAN, OBC(GIRLS), EBC(GIRLS), SEBC(GIRLS), EWS(GIRLS).
Campus Life
Campus Life is very engaging and vibrant. Infrastructure is modern , labs are well-equipped. Clubs like robotics club, literary club and various hobby club are their to enhance skills. There are sports events. Fests : Aarohan- technical fest held in Jan or Feb Spandan- cultural fest
Hostel Facilities
We get individual bed , cupboard, table, chair 2) Wifi 3)24 hours water supply, even hot water 4)mess ( breakfast+dinner) 5) housekeeping services 6) washing machine There are rooms for two person, three and five Cost increases if you take two of three. Hostel is well maintained..space is there for you to study even if you take five person room ..inside room there are 2 washrooms so there will be no problem. Meals quality is good. First u have to pay 15,000 ...then later 50,000 and then whatever is left.
Admission
I wanted admission in VIT or PICT ..since the placements in these colleges is great..many well-known companies come here, so many opportunities are provided. Students with high score in MHTCET come to this colleges, so the crowd is best for learning. I took admission through CAP, you can get admission here through JEE or MHTCET exams, but MHTCET is most preferred by students. Cutoffs are very high for JEE. For MHTCET it depends on which category you are in. Admission process will be smooth if you have all documents and copies.
Faculty
Faculty is good and approachable.. nothing such to dislike This year exam pattern has changed so all units will come in end semester, that has been a major change for pune colleges. For insem I think 2 units will come.. syllabus has not changed.
Other Applied Colleges
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering - [PCCOE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)
Since many big companies come to VIT and even placements are much better there
