Likes

You will get a lot of fee time to explore different field.
Professors are quite supportive if you are a good student.
You can easily score a good cgpa with a small effort.

Dislikes

Coding culture of this college is not so good.
Senior are not interactive as one should be.
College only focus on academic not on latest technology.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is not so good it means there are very few course on latest technologies. They follow old course structure.Exam are general easy level and very easy to get good cgpa.Some professor are impressive.

Class Size: 107Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements of this college is very poor. Mostly mast recruiter compant come in this college and average package of this college lie somewhere between according to me is 4 lakh to 5 lakh and percentage of student placed is also low.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 132000 and additional fee per year is 17000 and hostel fess is 20000 and mess fee is 28235.College provide Scholarships first on the basis on jee main rank and on basis of class merit.

Campus Life

This college do not host as many fest .Hardly it host one or two fest pr technical fest and budget of these fest is also very low and there are some clubs which are functionally in good way like music club,dance club.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel of this college is average.After 2 nd year you will get single room and Mess food is somewhere you can say average and so good because mess charge is very low and there is no facility for renting room or pg as it is alocated in remote area.

Admission

I had applied to Jaypee noida but not able to secure seat in computer science so my last option is this college that left in my list. Cutoff of this college is for general computer science is 1 lakh crl.

Faculty

Faculties are good enough but not that much.Some are very supportive and helping nature. From this year there will be one minor exam of 20 marks and one major exam of 40 marks and 20 marks quiz and 20 marks on project.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
