St Francis college

Commerce is a field were there are wide opportunities. Bcom specially acts as a base for your higher studies. Although only bcom doesn't have any future. But if you do your additional courses and post graduation you can expect high salary. Bcom is a course were only basis in all fields of commerce is taught. But it's not taught in dept. This is one of the major disadvantage. Due to which we have to study masters otherwise our salary will be low. The exams are not very hard to clear. But accounts could be tricky if not studied from early on. A good teacher is all it takes as if the concept is clear we can clear our exams easily. As I want to do CA i choose bcom.

Internship opportunities are very less. Hardly 1 or 2 companies come. But there is mandatory intership that has to completed. So we will have to find intership on our own and complete it. After the completion we will have to make a complete report on that and viva in the end and marked on that.

Final year is when students become eligible for placements. There are many companies that come to our college. TCS, flitch, Accenture are few. Packages range from 5-8 lakhs per annum. The college ensures maximum of the students get placed. 90% of the students get placed as they are trained before hand. As I have plans of perusing my CA course i haven't applied for placements.

In St Francis college the fees is 65000 per year. Which i could say is average. Not too high nor too low. Scholarships are given only for the first 3 ranks in the department. And the Karnataka government gives scholarship to st/sc cast. They focus on both on academics and as well as on sports. They help students who are good in sports. They provide them various opportunities and many students have gone to district level and as well as nationals. They also have one of the best NCC class. They always are providing students with various types of competitions. And they have placement opportunities. They have a strict and safe environment. The teachers are well trained and clear doubts of students and even provide help for dull students. They also take students on educational trips every year and final year students will be taken to a trip within Karnataka for 4-5days. The staff is friendly. The infrastructure is excellent. They have a strict dress code. They have canteen facilities and bak

All government holidays are given off. And christmas we get around 20days of holiday. All Indian festivals are given off. Our library has wide range of books and study materials. Both physical and ebooks are available. The classroom is equipped with very comfortable tables and chairs and there is a projector. There are all types of indoor and outdoor sports. There are many grounds. They also have various groups. To provide exposure.

This was the only college i applied to. I choose this college over others due to its NCC program. It's one of the best in Bangalore. They train so well that cadets clear RDC and TSC easily. There will be 3 rounds of interviews in our college. First is written test. Second is viva with a faculty and last is principal round.

The faculties are friendly and well qualified. They guide students and are available to clarify doubts. They even provide well explainatory notes and PDFs. They even teach out of the syllabus for more knowledge. They use projectors and power point presentations to teach everyday with various types of examples so that we understand better. They even provide with all types of books that we can refer. They conduct time to time test so that we study. There are 2 internal exams and 1 final exam each semister. 60 marks for written exam in finals and 40 for internal exams. 40 marks includes the marks in 2 internal exams , attendance percentage, class work and project work. The teachers are very friendly and approachable. I like Glen sir and santhosh kumar sir as both of them not only guide with their subjects but also guide us about life. They are very friendly. The college keeps special class for students who are weak and need person assistants. 90% of the students clear the exam. 10% fail.
