FIRST ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN ASSAM

I was interested in this course. A good number of placements are provided in this course at our college. Three midterm exams are held before the semester exams. The difficulty level of the exams is good.

During the first year summer break students are provided with a social internship. In the second year, academic internships are provided and in the third year, industrial internships are provided. Internship-based PPO is provided in the final year.

For Placement Students become eligible from the 7th semester.Companies like OIL, NRL, BALCO, TVS, ASHOK LEYLAND, VEDANTA, ADANI, DALMIA, and many more visit every year. The highest package is 24LPA and the lowest is 4.5-5LPA.

The Yearly admission is around Rs17000 for academics . And the hostel admission fee is around Rs5000 for 4 years . The mess fee is around Rs2500 for a month.Internet facility is provided in the hostels.

The annual Techfest is UDBHAVANAM and the cultural fest is PYROKINESIS.It is held in the last week of February every year. Artists like shilpa rao, Mohammad Irfan etc are invited. Bands like Naalayak, When Chai Met Toast, and Sleeping satellite, are invited.

There are 9 hostels present, one girls hostel and 8 boys hostel. According to the size of the room, double or triple rooms are provided to the students. Every room is fully furnished.The quality of the food is also good.

Assam Engineering College is located in Guwahati which is a very developed city. Everything is available here and the academics are very good in this college along with college placement. It is the first Engineering college in Assam.

There is a good interaction between the teachers and the students.There is mentor mentee program for the interaction between students and teachers.I am from mechanical department and the teachers I meet daily are very cooperative and motivating.
