Course Curriculum Overview
In my opinion, the curriculum curated for the students are understandable if one puts up with the explanations and materials provided by the teachers. Most of my teachers are experienced and they make teaching and learning methods more flexible and understanding.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provided us with two internships i.e. Employability and Research Internship. I opted for research internship where i have to put up a research proposal and after it is accepted, i have to do a research literature review on the books that I have particularly selected.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees that I pay is ?11,600. This amount includes registration fees, admission fees, development fees, etc. As for the scholarship the average amount is ?6,000 and sometimes it gets rejected for silly reasons.
Campus Life
Our college has founded a festival named Harbinger fest for the students and we held it in the month of January, also the departments has formed various clubs for the students to take part in. Our college does not have enough books and journals for our studies. Our college provides us with various extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, etc.
Admission
As for me, I was determined to join this college anyhow because it is a government fund college so I would not waste money by studying in private colleges. I didn't apply for other colleges so I didn't get a rejection. The eligibility for the acceptance is either 1st division or with 60%+ percentage in HSSLC.
Faculty
The faculty of the English Department is fair in the marking and exam systems. As a literature teacher they are humorous but are kind in nature. Also, the exam papers are at an average but many students cannot clear the exams because of their own ignorance to studies. We have internal tests every semester and along with that there are 8 exams in 4 years course.
