Course Curriculum Overview

3

As I've said before, the curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is quite satisfactory.I don't understand much of your questions, please use easier words next time even though I'm in college now. From what I've understood from your question,I only joined this course because I didn't have any other option in my mind.Honestly I don't know what to do next. I think our professors only focus on teaching what is there in the syllabus rather than focusing on what might come in the future. As much as their teachings are good, they only care about teaching according to the amount of their salary. Also some professors have horrible vocal skills, some are either too slow or soft spoken, not all of us can go and sit in the first bench right? Some area of improvements can be if the teachers were more enthusiastic and excited to teach rather than just coming and doing their job. Our syllabus are always completed before our exams so we get enough time to study.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many internship programs are provided although I don't know much because I'm only in 3rd semester and never came across such. But my seniors have experienced all that and I'm sure they have learnt quite well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester the fees are 4500,and they provide uniforms just once when you join college. The semester exam fees are 1200 Practical fees are 500,and bus fees are payed by people who travel through the bus. Scholarships are 9k per year, where 3.5k is given per installment to each person.

Campus Life

3

Our campus is just mediocre. Not much fancy, but it's fine it's good.We have other co curricular activities time to time.Good for the students. We have freshers day, farewell, college fests and sports. We get access to books for academic purpose.Actually we get almost all study materials provided for our studies in our library, although the place is a bit conjusted. We have sports events many times, inter colleges,ANSCU sports etc. And other club activities too.NCC,red ribbon,NSS, YUVA tourism, etc. We also have our student council but our current general secretary is disliked by almost everyone. And also the student council seems to overuse their power alot, not only my opinion but speaking on behalf of the students.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility can be improved. In summer it is HOT.Like fire. And the meals ugh,4/10. Water is always provided, and hostelmates are good. Security fee is 5k.Admission fee is 5k. Monthly fee is 5.5k. Hostel is located at oriental colony

Admission

This college has very good reputation academically,on top of that it's budget friendly. Imagine having highly qualified teachers teaching u in low budget, anyone would want that. Although the college and facilities aren't as fancy as those private colleges like Tetso who only give more importance to co curricular activities and aesthetics. They have too many events and more money spending. Here in DGC it's balanced. I opted for Unity college Dimapur in case I did not pass the entrance exam for Dimapur government college. Not like I got rejected or anything. To join dimapur government college one needs to pass the entrance exam.Or sometimes needs to have certain percentage, like 65/70% in order to join.

Faculty

4

I think the faculty members are quite enough for every subject.Although they cancel classes very last minutes, other than that their qualifications and teachings are quite profound. So far their way of teaching are quite satisfactory. I don't have any faculty members I like or dislike.I have no interest in their personal life.As long as their teachings are understandable, that's what I go to college for. As for the exams,we have one semester exam every semester, with internal tests for every subject a month or two before our semester exam. And a lot of assignments.

Other Applied Colleges

Unity College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (History)

Because dimapur government college had better reputation and better professors.Overall academic foundation was good.

I took up English because i wanted to see change in my self . Personally, i find 3rd sem course boring and old fashioned! I like how English department teachers maintain an active co curriculum activities to make the students engaged in the subject I think it will be great if they encourage explosure learning and observatory learning

Remarks:

Our college has all the infrastructures that a student need for basic learning but not all for a complete standardized exposure linked to our talents. The attendance weight age is quite attentively followed and students may be dropped just because of the attendance. It's quite far from here town so, usually alot of people stay in the hostel, and staying in the hostel seems to be painful since the areas adjoin the college is a highway, and we don't have access to towns and good shops nearby in order to get our need full filled. Apart from my studies I'm also having a good time with my professors.
