- The guidance and guest lectures by the industry experts
Dislikes
- The intake of students, and this lead to lesser number of students getting palaced with good law firms.
- The placement team at upes tries their best, but still the desired results are not there. The placements are not really good.
Course Curriculum Overview
While deciding the college, I paid emphasis on the curriculum, and there are only 2 subjects which needed to be taught in the initial years of law school, apart from them, the curriculum is well designed and well planned.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship to the students of 1st year and 4th year only, and for final year it's for placement. For the 1st year, it was social internship, and for 4th year, it was mainly with placement perspective.
Placement Experience
The only thing about my college, that I'm disappointed about. When I joined, the placements were decent, but with passage of 5 years, it has degraded. The average package is still very low, and most of the students who got placed got their placement off campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for our course varied for each semester, but the average was 1.35 lakhs per semester. Since I was enrolled in 2020, we had girls scholarship which made us availed extra 25% off. Other scholarship available for my course is : based on 12th exams, army quota, etc. and during the college, we've scholarship upto 25% based on our CGPA/ SGPA.
Campus Life
The college has a lot of clubs, committee, etc which helps the student to hone their soft skills. The law school has their own committees like moot court association, alternate dispute settlement committee, society for constitutional law and human rights, etc.
Admission
Since my admission took place during COVID times, it was all online, and I didn't have to visit the college to submit forms or fees. Though after our college got opened, we've to submit our original documents, which were returned later on.
Faculty
Almost all the faculty members have industry experience or long years of teaching experience, which makes their lectures more easy to comprehend and understanding the laws. We're being provided with faculties with specialised field in our honours subject, and almost all of them have PhD in that field, or are pursuing it.
