Chanakya law college came into existence in the year 2004.It is affiliated to Kumaon University, Nainital and duly approved by Bar Council of India(BCI), New Delhi. The college offers 5 year integrated program (B.A.L.L.B.) at undergraduate level.It is one of the first colleges to impart legal education in the Kumaon region of Uttrakhand. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The college is open to all irrespective of sex, age, caste, creed and religion. Faculty and students are drawn from all over India. Candidates are given admission to the college on the basis of their score in academic qualifying examination and entrance test conducted by the University. The college has well equipped infra-structure and well-furnished class rooms. It has well stocked library with all latest books on law, journals, magazines etc. With a view to making the students passing out from this college to be the efficient and dedicated lawyers, seminars.
