JNU Entrance. As a science student with B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) I wanted to move on to the branch of science that included lots of outing and practicals rather than burning the midnight oil in the labs.
Course Curriculum Overview
The practical sessions were crazy. the first of the 2 years program isn't very specific so the students are assigned one lab each week to gain a general idea of what happens in a particular lab so by the time we reach the final year, one gets to pick a lab and supervisor which determines the dissertation.
Placement Experience
No placements and to be honest the job prospect is not so bright unless one decides to go for further studies and research.
College Events
The school of environmental science celebrates Earth Day every year besides various other events. this year's guest of honour was none other than Shri Jairam Ramesh.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My semester fee would go upto Rs.200/- at the max.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, Merit-cum-means monthly scholarship of Rs.2000/- is provided by the university to those with family income below 1.5 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life
Best campus life. excellent 60:40 female-male sex ratio, extremely safe for girls irrespective of hour of the day.
Alumni/Alumna
Very very interactive and helpful seniors esp. the ones involved in the politics are particularly very helpful.
Exam Structure
Semester based all the class tests and assignments are given towards the end of semester so, pretty hectic then.
Faculty
Highly qualified faculty although they do not focus on the Master level students.
