Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum that I am persuing is very good as it opens many paths I am an ECE student but in our curriculum, we have open areas and emerging areas which gives us the deciding power to choose what to study i can study computer science which is in ece, which is so interesting. It prepares us well for real-world applications as we get hands-on experience in the labs under the guidance of the professors or their assistants. There are some subjects for which improvement can be made as we had a subject Artificial Intelligence but we didn't have the proper hands-on labs so it became less interesting and was not a good option for real-world ideas. The frequency of the exam is two times a year and minor exams one time in 6 months. The exams are pretty good in difficulty but also cover a lot of the aspects of the subject.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies Like Accenture, Corning India, Flipkart, and many more companies offer internships with different stipends. Some companies offer unpaid internships too but I guess in the starting we should more focus on the experience and outcomes that the internship provides so that we can understand out interests and we can explore fields.

Placement Experience

3

College placements are not very good but you can expect a 5,00,000 package average. When you enter in 7th semester you are eligible for internships and campus placements. You also have to get summer training just after the 5th semester. companies that visited USICT are ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, FINVEST, TEJAS NETWORKS, etc. The highest package as much as I remember was made by Adobe I guess and it was 44 lpa. 70%-85% students get placed approx. I would personally love to explore jobs off-campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am in the batch 2021-2025 but I was a lateral entry student so my fellow students are paying 80,000 per year while the lateral entry students are paying approximately 1,21,000. so for the whole course fees for the 2021 batch is 3,20,000 it includes tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, and lab fees with other compulsory charges for the whole course and if you want to have the hostel rooms so you have to pay 50,000 to 60,000 approx at the hostels there is a whole process for it. They give you many scholarship as the college is semi government so you can have scholarships there is one private scholarship also available named Prakhar Dua which is in the memory of a brilliant student who met an accident so his family gives this scholarship to a student who is brilliant in studies and even in other fields.

Campus Life

4

IPU annual festival is ANUGOONJ which is the biggest fest of IPU generally organized in feb-march for 3 days approx. USICT tech fest is INFOXpression. You can get almost all the books needed for the curriculum in the centralized library. Every Year a sports fest is organized in which all the affiliated colleges of ipu comes and participate in variety of sports like Kabaddi, Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Tug Of War, Badminton, Basketball etc. There are many clubs that you can join.

Admission

For Btech JEE Mains is the exam that the student needs to clear with good precentile and rank. I am a lateral entry student so i took admission through IPU LEET exam which was difficult as there was negative marking and to get into USICT you need to get your rank under 20-30. You can apply through the ipu official website for ipu leet and prepare for it. Students from SC/ST or other reservsation gets a lot of benefits as one of my friend is SC i guess and she had an 800+ rank and still got an IT branch in USICT. The admission process is not very hard as you get the list of documents on the official website, and all the admission process is almost done online on their Website.

Faculty

4.5

As I mentioned earlier the faculty is good and they are very helpful, they are eager for your doubts to be cleared. but I would like to mention not all the faculty members are like that some are very strict but I would say their knowledge is so good. faculty to student ratio is low I would say. All the faculty have their own style of teaching some just love to teach with imagination, some create stories, some rely on real life examples, some use PPT's. Interaction is high of student with teachers if student is in intrested in the subject or doubts.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
