Course Curriculum Overview
The college already has an impression of being the best college in Mumbai for commerce. The curriculum is up to date with respect to industry standards. The logic behind each and every step is taught rather than simply being taught how to perform the calculations mechanically.
Internships Opportunities
The training and placement cell of the college helps in getting articles to CA Students as well. The firms that come through the cell are generally well-paying and give students very high exposure to work opportunities.
Placement Experience
The training and placement cell works effectively. My plans after the degree include completing my CA Final, and then aiming for CFA and CPA. Since I am yet to graduate, I do not have much idea about placements. However, the Training and Placement Cell also arranged Industrial Training sessions and helps in getting Internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee Structure for Bcom- Year 1: 10000 Year 2: 11000 Year 3: 13000 Scholarships have been made available to the students that belong to weaker sections, i.e., EWS scholarship. The fee structure for the rest of the students stays the same.
Campus Life
The annual fest Umang is generally overhyped and the committee under-delivers. The library has access to almost all the recent books and research papers. As regards infrastructure, the college has central AC, and even the library has AC. The library has sufficient space, charging points, and comfy seats. The extra-curricular events are always happening and are quite enjoyable.
Admission
The admission process is straightforward. There are no issues. However, the cut-off is relatively high for Bachelor of Commerce. Gujarati reservation is available. The exam system is 75 end semester exams, 15 marks assignment (includes presentation), and 10 marks internal test.
Faculty
There are at least 70 students in a class. The whole class is taught by 1 faculty for a lecture that has a duration of 1 hour. Sometimes the classes may be divided into 2 or 4 groups and taught by different professors at same or different times, like for tutorials or differentiated subjects in the same class. All faculties at least have a master's degree and some relevant experience in their field. The professors are very approachable and fun to interact with.
