Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum kind of changes every semester its not consistent at all, and we as students find it quite annoying as the basis of evaluation keeps changing, for example the examination period is not fixed sometimes the exams are finished within a week and one semester it was 2 exams in one day which was quite stressful

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies like Goldman Sachs, Uber, Microsoft, DE Shaw came recently giving internship opportunities through online tests, they picked 4-5 students with stipend of Rs 150000 and close 200000 depending on the company, students had to submit their projects and Cvs for the interview phase once the online Test was cleared

Placement Experience

3.5

Compared to other private colleges in India, I think Manipal might have one of the best if not the best placement rate, students become eligible for placement from 7th semester, big mncs Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw coke frequently to our campus, average package is around 11 Lpa and maximum package is around 60Lpa, in my branch 82% of students were placed last year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for first year was 325000, and second year onwards the fees structure depends on the course you take, I took Information Technology and my fees was 509000 as for all other branches the fees was more or less the same

Campus Life

4

In my opinion the social life here in Manipal is on par with all top colleges in India, as it is well known for it's networking and strong alumni and their contact with students. There are frequent events in the college like 'Revels' our annual event in which we invite big personalties and singers.

Admission

I took 2 entrance exams and I scored quite decent in first one and in the second attempt I had a miserable performance quite likely because the exam centre was 400 km from my home so I was very out of place, the exam was 3 hours long containing English Maths Chemistry qnd Physics as subject, the admission process was very lengthy I guess that's true for all engineering colleges, I didn't have any benefits as I'm from general category,

Faculty

4

The faculty members are quite qualified in their respective domains, I talked to a few teachers and their research projeccts and they seem pretty ambitious and well versed in their subjects, we are free to interact with faculty members during the day till the classes end

Placement Experience:

At BMSIT, students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. A good number of companies visit the campus every year, including Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Cisco, Amazon, and Dell, among others. The highest package in recent years has gone above ?30 LPA, while the average package usually stays around ?6–7 LPA for CSE students. Around 80% of students get placed, mostly in roles like software development, web development, data science, and AI/ML engineering. Personally, after completing my degree, I plan to sit for campus placements and aim for a role in software development. I also want to continue upskilling in advanced areas like full-stack and AI to grow my career further.

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .
