Great environment, senior are cooperative and very friendly in nature
ragging free campus, college has it's own anti ragging squad
The college campus is very secure and safe

Dislikes

college is strict and entry is prohibited without icard and after 10pm
75% attendance is mandatory for all the students to appear for exam
assignment are supposed to be completed on time to time basis

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus of the college is based on the university of pune SPPU but form 2024 the college is recognised as an autonomous institute and the coding culture in the college is very rich , the clubs in college are very much active and conduct hackathons at very regular basis

Internships Opportunities

Presently I'm in 2nd yr and I've not got internship yet as internships are offered to students of 3rd yr but one of my friend got internship in 1st yr itself due ti hus great programming skills and college also gives us many projects which we get paid for.

College provides in campus placement aswell as internships too in 6th sem the student is eligible to go for placements companies like phonepe and Goldman sachs visits the college every year about 85% of students gets guaranteed placement whereas others persue for higher education

as i am st student mu college fees is. 8995 INR but for other category the fees is as given below For General category : 98000/- per yr For OBC category: 68000/- For VJNT category : 48000/- For Ews : 28000/- For St/Sc category: 8995/-

Campus Life

The environment in campus is great the campus is ragging feee campus, seniors are very friendly in nature , everyone is cooperative you can spend hours in reading hall while studying and the college library has vast variety of books to read. there are many active clubs in the college in which you can take part in , every year there is annual sports meet in the college

Admission

the cutoff for the college is generally very much higher, the college accepts both CET and JEE percentiles the cutoff for general category is usually above 99percentile whereas for category is in between 92-99 and for st category it may go to 68 percentile too

Faculty

The faculty here is great , teachers helps us in every aspect to improve ourselves and our overall growth, every batch of 25 students have their personal mentor teacher which helps us in every single thing inside and outside the campus overall the faculty are more like family to us and they are highly qualified aswell. some of them are graduated from IITs too.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
