Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is of 5.& half years with 4 and half years of classroom teaching and one year of internship. The first 3 years are a combination of veterinary science subjects and animal sciences whereas the last year is completely dedicated to clinical aspects of veterinary science.the college follows VCI MVSE 2016 guidelines. The college has 3 livestock farms dedicated to cattle,swine.

Internships Opportunities

One year internship is compulsory. The places where internship is provided are assigned by college authorities. Maximum institutions are govt institutions such as farms, goshalas, zoo and the clinical complex of the college. Students can do internship in their home town in any govt recognised veterinary hospital or dispensary under a state Veterinary officer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Initially admission fees ranges from 40-50k Tuition fees for students ranges from 20000-25000 including hostel fees. Mess dues are separate hostel wise that ranges from 1500-2000 rs. Students are required to pay a minimum amount of rs 200-400 for functions organised by students union.

Campus Life

Every year the college organises annual college meet that provides the biggest stage for students to showcase their talents in various fields starting from art to sports. Annual freshmen social is also one of the celebrated events where freshers show their talents. Drama club,cultural club and debate club are few of the active clubs of the college. Every year there is inter hostel cricket and volleyball tournament.

Hostel Facilities

Maximum of the students of the college are hostellers given the course structure and timing of the classes and the affordability. Rooms in girls hostel ranges from 4 seater to 2 seater whereas rooms in boys hostel are either 3 seater or 2 seater. Extra fans are allowed whereas ACs are not allowed yet. Mess of all the hostel runs separately and menu is decided as per hostellers convenience

Admission

The admission to the course can be through the entrance exam conducted by the university for the students of the state. Whereas students outside the state can secure a seat through VCI counseling with their NEET marks. Students securing 500-550+ in Neet have a chance of securing a seat through all India counselling.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is appropriate. Each department has 5-10 professors,all having masters and majority of them having a PhD as well. Teachers are always open to students asking them doubts and clarifying to their best capabilities.
