NAGPUR veterinary college, Nagpur was my first choice of preference since it's the best veterinary College in State located at the close proximity of Maharashtra animal and fisheries sciences University, Nagpur . Yes, as a student from Maharashtra, you can seek admission to Nagpur Veterinary College (NVC) for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) in the PCB group. NVC accepts both NEET UG and MHT-CET scores for admission, with MHT-CET being the preferred option for state quota seats. However, NEET UG is mandatory for all veterinary colleges in Maharashtra, including NVC

Yes, you can use your NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) program at Nagpur Veterinary College. The All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) was replaced by NEET in 2017 for veterinary admissions in India.

You need around 461+ marks in NEET to get admission to B.Vsc at NVC Nagpur if you are a General candidate, however you can get admission with less marks if you fall under reserved categories.

At the PG level, the college offers a Master's degree in Veterinary Science. Admission is given based on the score in various National/ State entrance exams NEET, MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). The institute also offers an M.Sc. under different departments, admission will be done on the basis of the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) entrance examination followed by counseling.

The admission in MVSc. is based on the basis of NEET-PG score during the counseling of NEET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and also on the score in MHT-CET followed by three round counseling by the Government of Maharashtra.

The admission of the candidate to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course is done based on  merit in the NEET UG or Competitive Entrance Examination (MHT CET) conducted by Directorate Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and also on the merit list of NEET score. NEET 2023 and MHT CET registartions are already over for this year.

Yes, for admission to B.VSc at NVC Nagpur you need to appear for MHT-CET to get selected. However, NEET entrance exam is also accepted for B.VSc.
