College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur was established to impart education in different branches of veterinary and fisheries and allied sciences. The institute aims to provide for the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in veterinary and fisheries sciences. The objective of the institute is to undertake the extension of such sciences to the rural people in co-operation with the government departments concerned. The institutions seek to make an impeccable impact on the overall development of livestock production and management through its impressive teaching, research and activities in basic and applied fields. It also aims to protect the livestock and poultry wealth by extending innovative package of practices for the upliftment of the socio-economic conditions of the rural poor and marginal farmers.
