Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in robotics and sensors that thing influenced me to choose this course. My suggestion for the teaching method is that they should not teach by pdf only. They should teach the way it will relate to real-world applications.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like TCS offer interships and jobs. There are multiple projects and the outcomes of those projects help students to get recognized by the company and get a high package as per the project made by students.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placement from the end of the third year. There are multiple companies that visit campus like TCS, Tata, and many more. The highest package recieved till now is 60 lakhs (off campus). The average package offered is 750000. My plan after getting a degree is to take is master's.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the normal category, the fees are 140000 and for another caste it is different. Gneh provides scholarships and all. There is no campus employment I have undertaken including job roles, responsibilities, and the stipends awarded

Campus Life

Overall experience is good, books and journals are available in the library. Sports and extracurricular are less in college. College clubs are available and that plays an important role in student development.

Admission

The cutoff for JEE is more than 95, Cutoff for CET is above 97. Reservation benefits are available for students. Exam timings are from 10 am to 12:30 pm. There are some areas for improvement in the admission process like management and all.

Faculty

Most of teachers are MTECH , PhD holders and highly qualified . They are good in teaching and personally takes interest in students doubts . Teachers are friendly and supportive towards study and all .

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
