Course Curriculum Overview

3

Honestly, the course provided by the government Institute of Forensic Science Nagpur is not enough to study forensics deeply. The course curriculum is minimal and theoretical that's why it doesn't give that much exposure to real-world applications. They should provide more practical knowledge. The timing of the exam is after a maximum of 90 days per semister.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a government college the fee is minimum. The fees of this college are 4000 to 5000 per year that is 15000 for the BSc course. They provide government scholarships like mahadbt and nsp. We get approximately 4000 per year in scholarships the campus employment is not there as it is a government college

Campus Life

1.5

There is no festival celebration happening in our college except independence day and Republic Day. The annual function is held once a year. The lab facilities are pretty good. They provide all the instruments and machines required for practicals. There is no student-run social group.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is only provided by the government. If we take admission to the government hostel within the time given. We get the admission. But if you are late then you have to live in a private hostel or pg. I actually don't know how to apply for admission to a hostel. I rented a PG in the sitabuldi area in Nagpur. The pg was very good and their rent was 7000 including food charges.

Admission

There is no entrance exam. We only have to get the maximum percentage in the 12th standard according to our caste category. application fees are approx. 4000. Reservation benefits are provided for students. We can register online and after the release of the merit list, we have to go to college campuses for the admission process.

Faculty

4

We can interact with teachers on working days. When the college is open as this is a government Institute that's why staff is available on each weekday and they interact with students pretty interestingly.

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

While searching on internet I got to know about this course that's where I earned interest for this course that made choose this course. The practical knowledge shared by the faculty at their best helps for real life applications but still practical knowledge is gained beyond college course pattern which can be gain in internships. By providing more practical knowledge beyond the theory part of the course may help students greatly by learning real life experiences. Exams are usually held by morning at the college timing (9:30 am).

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are campus placements but my seniors are yet to get placed. Since we are secknd batch of data science we don't know much about how is the placement for data science students. There are good placements for bms students. I will be doing master after this degree and won't opt for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the teachers who teach that. I had my siblings telling me that they love the way their teachers taught them. They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.
