Remarks

The course fees can be reduced a bit. Definitely need to reconsider about the evaluation pattern. Infrastructure and other activities are great

Entrance Preview

I heard about this college from more than one sources. My friends, relatives and advertises. I learnt that this college is one of the top engineering colleges of India with a rank under 10 and I was getting my favorite branch with my score in the entrance exam so I opted for this college

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very diverse. It totally depends on your branch but a what I understood is that the curriculum is more competitive than most of the engineering colleges in india. The curriculum covers almost every topic which an engineer should know.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college probides internships. The three mandatory internships are provided by the college also there are clubs which provide international internships. The stipend is mostly enough to cover your accommodation and the overall experience depends upon the person and the company but be rest assured that if you are willing to work hard then you will get an internship of your choice

Placement Experience

3

Manipal has pretty average placements. Placements are more in branches like CS,IT,CCE,ECE,EEE. So if placement is your criteria then focus on these branches. For an assured placement try maintaining a CGPA of 7.0. The packages are of about 9-10 lpa for the top branches and 5-7 lpa on other branches. But still placement depends on you

College Events

4.5

There are many events going on continuosly in manipal. Some of them are 1) Techtatva (national technical festival)- happens for 4days during october. Has various technical events in which one can participate. 2) Revels( natinal cultural fest)- happens for 4 days during february with various cultural and sports events. 3) sunburn campus 4) technical week 5) manipal entrepreneurship summit And various others. (All cant be listed here)

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is about 5 lpa including hostel and mess. This can be considered a little expensive but admission requires no donation and there are no hidden charges. About 4lpa is the tyition fee and 1lpa is the hostel and mess fee. The hostels are really good with all basic fascilities

Fees and Financial Aid

The top 100 ranks in the entrance exam get 50 percent scolorship also there is a special scolorship for students with parental annual income lesaa than 5lpa but only few students get this

Campus Life

4.5

Thee are more than 100 technical and non technical clubs in manipal and about 10 student projects. These clubs include dramatics, dance, music, literature and debate and many more. Which organise various events throughout the year. You can definitely find a club to join of your interest or even start your own club

Hostel Facilities

5

Manipal has one of the best hostels in the country. Senior and junior hostel blocks are different. You have a achoice for AC non AC, single/double room. Attached/non attached bathroom. The hostels have all basic fascilities. The mess food is extremely hygienic and nutritious. The food taste of the first year mess is not very good but rest all messes serve nice and tasty food

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful. There is nothing like senior-junior in manipal. All are friends and try to bond with each other. Also manipal is a campus with zero ragging

Exam Structure

Manipal has onof the most difficult evaluation pattern in the country. With 50 marks internals and 50 marks end sem exams the college keeps you under academic pressure for the whole semester. This can be considered a drawback of manipal as you may get deprived of other activities.

Admission

1) Fill the entrance exam form from the official website. It costs around 1500 Rs. 2) Choose a date, time, slot and go to the venue and give the entrance exam. 3) You will get to know your score out of 200 instantly after exam 4) After 10-15 days the ranks will come on the official website and you will be given a slot for counselling. 5) visit any of the campuses on your counselling day and select your branch and pay the first year fee.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of the college are mostly localites. They speak English or kannada and teach only in English so you must be proficient in english. Most of them are PHDs and rest are post graduates of doctorate candidates. What I understood is that the teachers are pretty average and a student must know how to study himself under the guidance of a teacher in Manipal.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Placement Experience:

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an
