Remarks

College management is very corrupt. A know a student who got her branch changed after 1st year even though she had a backlog. Branch is changed only on the basis of marks you get in first year but her father had friends in high places, so he pulled some strings to make a new roll number and fake records of first year. In another case, a professor students who scored less than average in every test somehow got college rank 3 when the DMC was given. In another case a projector, sold in the market for 50k, was bought for 4lakh. You can guess where the extra money went.

Entrance Preview

Well, the brand name of this college was best i could have hoped for, given my rank in JEE mains. The placement scenario on paper looked good. I am from Ghaziabad, uttar pradesh. So, another reason for opting this college was this college is only 6hrs away and i could go home every other weekend.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum of all branches except CS/IT is absolutely pathetic and irrelevant with respect to the requirements of the INDUSTRY. Though the syllabus for the year starting 2019 has been revised and redundant subject has been removed but still! As far as the CS/IT are concerned, the syllabus is only partially relevant and a lot of self study is required on the part of student is required for good placement

Internships Opportunities

College provides on campus recruitment drives. About 50 out of 1000 get the internships. Stipend vary from 3k per month to 75k per month

Placement Experience

3.5

There are many companies (200+) that come for campus recruitment. Average package of placed students from CS/IT is around 9lpa and for others is around 6lpa. Also, about 75 percent of the eligible get placed and about 70 percent of total are eligible.

College Events

4.5

All government holidays are celebrated and a holiday is given. Apart from that 3 cultural fest and 1 technical fest are also organised every year. Conflurnce is the name given to the cultural fest. It's organised every in the mid of February but from this year it will be in November. Cultural events like stage play, solo singing, mime, group dance and star night are organised and they are quite good. Techspardha is the technical fest in which events like robot wars, simulated buisnesses are organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for general and OBC students is 75k for one semester and free for SC/ST.If you compare the fee with that of other private colleges, it's very inexpensive. But the major problem is that SC/ST pay no fee while general and OBC students have to pay more than 75k. I have seen cases where the general/OBC students' family income is a fraction of SC/ST students yet they get fee consession.

Fees and Financial Aid

All scholarship facilities are available for SC/ST candidates. Student loan is provided by SBI for all.

Campus Life

1.5

Gender ratio is poor, male to female ratio is 1000 to 150. Labs are extremely outdated and obselete. Sports facilities are below par. Various competitions are organised during the fests, competition is pretty good. The college is located on the outskirts of the college, there is almost zero pollution, you always feel fresh, and owing to greenery in the campus, even summer nights are bearable without AC or cooler.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities are good from second years onwards and also in first year hostel environment is very positive and good. Cleanliness is ok. Mess food is good on some days and bad on other. In first year you get, cemented floors and very badly painted walls, if you lean against the wall, you will get white, no matter how many times you clean the floor, it will always look dirty. All these problems aren't there in the new hostels which are alloted from second year onwards.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni networking is almost absent for average students but the senior-junior interaction or rather friendships are extremely common, there is no ragging and senior-junior relationships are extremely healthy and positive. They provide valuable guidance

Exam Structure

In a semester there are 2 sessionals which account for 30 marks ,10 marks for class assessment, 10 for attendance and 50 for end sem(external), to pass 20 in internal and external both are required. all in all if you score between 85 to 100 you get an A+, 75-84 for A 65-74 for B, 50 -64 for C and 41-49 for D. Grades points are 10 for A+, 9 for A, 8 for B, 6 for c and 4 for D. CGPA is calculated as the weighted average of grade points.

Admission

First, i had to appear for the jee mains exams and the board exams. The rank for admission was calculated 60 percent on the basis of mains percentile and 40 on the basis of board percentile. After the ranks were out, we had to fill our preferred choices in an online counselling form. According to our rank, our choices were alloted to us through multiple rounds of counselling. After that i had to visit the campus of fee submission and registration.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty is absolutely horrendous and corrupt. Except a few teachers(I know just 4 in 4 years), all of them have for all practical purposes either zero knowledge or negligible will to teach or even understanding of attitude of students. If you are stupid enough to point out where the teacher is wrong or any similar thing, you are sure to get a backlog in that subject. Misuse of power by professors is extremely commom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is successfully combined with theoretical learning and practical applications, enabling students to face both professional lives and higher studies. The majority of students enjoy its applicability. The fee is affordable, with B.Tech priced around ?92,500 per annum. Merit-based scholarships (12th-grade marks, CUET, or JEE Main) give financial assistance with up to a 100% concession for good performers. Few details are available regarding fee differentials for different categories (SC, ST, Management). Examinations are held on a regular basis, such as sessionals and end-of-semester exams. Improvement areas include more effective time management in the tests and more concentration on extracurricular activities.

Placement of the college is depriciating over the year and also i got some words of mouth that some of the top MnC like microsoft has banned this college so it is a very diosappinting for the students if it is a true rumour and also the atmosphere of the college is shaped by students itself so that is also depleting over the year i guess but the college is working on it so it would recover probably
