Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is history and with the introduction of new education policy from our batch onwards there are some modifications in our syllabus. So it is design like this they have covered the whole Indian history in the 3 years I mean every semester we have one subject for Indian history and then one subject or two subject for foreign history. One thing that I don't like it in first semester we have American history and it is in 3rd and 4 semester that we got history of rise of modern Europe so I think this subject should we taught earlier then the American History. Because rise of modern rest create a comprehensive base for the comprehensive study American history. So this is the thing where changes can be made. The difficulty level of exam is not very advanced it is a moderate level question paper but it is challenging to write four answers that comprisers of 22.5 marks each in the limited time of 3 hour so I think that time limit to write a long answer should be extended by fer mins.

Internships Opportunities

2

Companies like blow trumpet, lovegen, choice ai, kivart labs, Amazon etc. provide internship opportunities. Job roles include research analyst, managing director , marketing consultant etc. Online sales work is also there.

Placement Experience

2

Yes college do provide campus placement. Last year highest package is around 40 lakh which is offered by American express company to a student of economics department. Average package is around 10 to 12 lakh per annum. Companies like mckinley, American express ETC provide placements. The percentage of students getting placement is dependent on the course of the student like last year in my phone from 3rd year 7 students got placement. And student become eligible from 2nd year onwards to get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

So fees for my quite affordable like 1 year fees around 17000 and after it you don't have to pay any extra charges yeah but for exams we do have to pay examination fees which is around 1200 to 1300 depending on our course and exams are held twice here so when we can calculate it as 2400 a year. Apart from this we don't have to pay any sort of other charges. Scholarships are provided only on the tuition fees for the students who are not financially well - off. Those the tuition fee is affordable but the cost of living around the college campus for the non Delhi right students is quite High around the college campus for the non Delhi right students is quite High. College doesn't offer hostel facilities which is quite foldable as compared to outer living. Regarding employment opportunity, college does provide internship opportunities but at the same time they are very compatibles well because for a single post their a lot of students who competed.

Campus Life

4.5

College experience is quite good college annual fest is Tarang which is usually held in March it is a three day fest in which we enjoy a lot with various concerts , games etc. Books are very easily available from the library. We have to library first with issue book for fortnite while the other issue book for overnight. Apart from that digital access to enlist that is a National library is also bioded to us by college so we can easily get our downloaded on internet. Each classroom is equipped with projectors so the concept of smart learning is quite applicable in my college and facilities of laptop is also there or laptops are you good and working condition and there is a full time learn connect to them so we can also internet for the same. They are a lot of student and clubs like project 5 a.m. with offer podcast for the new students to tackle your college journey with that wise of their seniors. Various society for dance, music, lierature, are also there

Admission

So yeah I have given the exam of CuET to get admission in Delhi University. The difficulty level iof the exam is moderate. The details of all the application and structure process is available on the cuet.samarth.ac.in portal. The criteria to get admission in history honours course is we have to give exam for 1 language and three subjects from the list provided by the Delhi University we can get this list from the CET portal itself also. Then the result of the exam came and particularly in Delhi University I got the admission through CSF portal that is common seat allocation system. We have to do registration in cses portal too. It took around 200 charge for the same process. Then depending on your seat after cutoff is released you get to know whether you have got the admission or not. I think there is an need to streamline the process of CSAS. It should March with the beauty portal itself to reduce double charging of registration

Faculty

In a class, though the student-teacher ratio 60 ratio 1 particularly in my class. So it is sometime quite difficult to ask doubt in a class but for a doubts we have tutorials in which the ratio for the same is 20 and 1. So this one hour is devoted completely for asking doubt so we can ask a doubts in it but it is not like that we can't ask our doubt in class because one lecture is of 1 hour so there is a space to ask a doubt and the lecture as well and we often ask. Talking about the teachers approach to teaching so this is different for different teachers for example teachers with practical subjects like economic which have both theory and practical so ught us numerical by solving in the world and the also suggest some videos regarding the art topic in order to get a better knowledge of that topic and some teachers also suggest me the regarding her subject and and encourage us to read from different sources for the same topic. Teachers also use group discussion as a teaching method.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
