Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen bsc in anthropology. The course is good and understandable and also good for both med and non-med backgrounds. I opted for this because I will take anthropology as my optional in upsc mains exam and overall the course is good and I like it. I can't tell you about another course but yes the bachelor courses are far good i know and easy. Exams are tough, so make sure you should prepare it

Internships Opportunities

2

As far as I know there is no internship program I get or provided by them to me. I don't know about any internship. And that's bad actually atleast they should provide internship for bachelors students especially honors like zoology, anthropology, botany etc

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know the courses offered by them have a minimum fees of 5000 yearly plus they take exam fees and practical fees. Books fees is included in that whether u want soft copy or hard copy. And year to year the subjects will be increased so do the fees also but it's usually depend on credits.

Campus Life

4

See, this is an open University so u will not get much exposure. Yaa the teachers are nice and understandable. I haven't attended any sports coz it's not available for open students obviously. So basically u only have to come, study and go to your home.

Admission

The admission process is simple. Every year they open their admission window in July and December as there are two sessions in IGNOU. Eligibility is simple as you have to clear the 12th class with 60 per cent. And it is for all courses. Exams are hard and hard to score so you have to prepare well to score marks above passing marks obviously and also if u want good grades.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are good and understandable. They are good and solve your problem quickly no doubt on this. We have to submit assignments also to our colleges or regional centres. However sometimes it is very tough to connect with them as they answer less of the emails which are sent by the students. Regional centres employees are good but they also didn't answer your call that part is tough and disappointing

Other Applied Colleges

Indira Gandhi National Open University - [IGNOU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc]

This is good and I like this as faculty is good and it's bachelor courses are nice

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
