Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is very inclusive. It covers mostly evrything you would need to know about them particular subject. It is devised in such a systematic way so as to make learninv easier, sort of in numeric way. More practical and real life scenarios would be good and taking aid of modern amenities like visual learning could also offer an improvements. Teachers in du cancel classes at their will which can sometimes be irritating

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Y& j law firms etc are some of the few firms who offer internships opportunities. There are usually a number of opportunities for internships . The roles mostly resolve around legal aid, drafting, case reading filing cases etc to prepare for the real life scenarios. The stipend ranges from none to 10 thousand a month . Project saksham is one of such project which is entirely voluntary . This progect aims to help student better about the real life scenarios and prevailing situations of the justice system and to make justice available to the minority

Placement Experience

2.5

Students in 3rd can start applying for placements. Few lawfirms offers placement and the percentage of students getting placement is quite low. It roughly be wounded upto 10% of students. After my degree i would go for further studies

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost of learninin delhi university is very affordable. The fees usual range from 9000 - 10000 per anum and the exams fees are between 1 - 2 thousand. There are also university hostel which provide affordabke accommodations. There are also a numberof scholarships like vice chancelor scholarship, central scholarship etc. You can also also work as an intern example vice chancelor internship which offers a stupend of 10k

Campus Life

3.5

The library is well maitained and offers a ruch collections of books. It offers of the most complete set of books fir law i would say . The faculty host a number of fest every year not less then 4 in a year which is usually held around april and may. College anual fest, freshers party northest fest to name a few . The facilitates and technological provision in the classroom are almost nil .with each classrooms offfering no more then three working fans . While the rest of the university host a rich and vibrant sports culture the faculty of law itself does not it is almost non existent. There are a number student run groups and clubs they offer a better understanding of various subject. And offers an students to learn real life experiences.

Admission

The qualify for the course you need to score a minimum of 45% in undergrad in any course afterwhich you will apply for cute . Cut off will again vary depending on reservations if any. For general usually 350 out 500 has a good chance od getting admissions.for st 170 above is a good score. Admission process is really simple as most of it is done online except for the form verification

Faculty

3

The student teacher ratio is quite contrast with more then the teacher can take . Making maintaining a close relationship with teacher a hard task. The teachers are not necessarily the best and sometimes lacking of quality. Teacher student interaction oten ends in the classroom itself

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.
