Remarks

It required some touch up here and there, otherwise it was good in itself. The building was good but old. The building was shared by two colleges back then. It was a different institution in the morning and a different one in the evening.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's more theoretical in my college than practical experience. So as ' professional area' we did not get much to do. Also, mine was an evening college so that did more damage. Less number of students and more number of people who were already working somewhere. Given the exam patterns, nothing very new or unexpected in the papers. It was like you just mug up a bunch of questions and go for it. We had 6 semesters in all

Placement Experience

0.5

No internship till the year I graduated. It was saddening that despite getting all the good grades we couldn't get placements from our college. So everyone got work on their own. Some like me are preparing for competitive exams.

College Events

3.5

We didn't have many events in our college. Few were - sports day, Freshers and farewell. The events were well organized. There were arrangements for food also for the students. Of everything, the most amazing were the sports events. The participation was Maximum there

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not expensive at all. Very affordable. Around 20,000 overall fees. Annual fee was about 5000 rupees whereas semester fees were about 2200 rupees back then. So yes, as such fees was not an issue for people.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nothing like that. It was probably among the very few things that our college lacked. By the time we graduated, it was still in the old building. Not many opportunities were made available to the students career wise. No idea on loans as such.

Campus Life

2.5

It was a mixed bag. Not many events. But Yes,a lot of people from various backgrounds. Not very strict administration either. Things were more flexible. You could do whatever you wanted to. Even attendance was not a big deal if you had a rapport with the teacher concerned or the office staff

Hostel Facilities

1

No hostel was available. Since I am a local here so I didn't have to take any paying guest accommodation or anything of that sort. But I had a lot of friends who stayed as paying guests or rented a flat. The rent was high. The average rent was some 10000 for the smallest of rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors are good. They do help us out even after the college has finished. We do make plans for meeting and discussing our lives. Whenever we have issues( be it personal or otherwise) they are there to guide us.

Admission

I Choose LLB because I wanted to become a lawyer. I didn't choose the college in particular. Given my marks in the entrance exam that was the only college Available for me. The admission process was easy but lengthy. Through checking of the documents took a long time.

Faculty

4

Most of them were very good. Some were pretty experienced senior teachers so they were well versed with the subjects they were given. But the ad- hoc teachers were not always up to the mark. Most of them couldn't really connect with the students.

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

There are not as such campus placements but the students secure ppos from the law firms. Majority of the students do not go for corporates as the field diversified in judiciary, litigation etc. The placement cell is working hard to bring in companies for hiring.

The curriculum is good for the real world applications as the course teaches us about the practical work. They can improve their course by adding more moot court practices during the semester and by giving the students the opportunity to practically utilise the bookish knowledge they are gaining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.
