Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since it is one of the top law school of the country, the curriculum is no doubt one of the best in the country as well. The curriculums are upto dated, which is required since the laws are frequently amended. The frequency of the exams are adequate enough for students. The difficulty is high but beneficial for the growth of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a hike in the tution fee starting from 2024 new sessions. However it is still only ?7130/- and very cheap considering this is one of the most eminent law school on the country. You can complete your 3 year LLB. education for just under ?20000/- I am that aware of the scholarship offered but it is available for students from low income background. As far as I am aware, there is no campus employment available.

Campus Life

4

Delhi University is reputed for its excellency in co-curricular activities. There are certain festivals conducted by various universities throughout the year. You can attend them as you like it. The faculty of law has one of the best and oldest legal library in the country. So, if utilised properly, it can be tremendously beneficial for the students. There are also many social groups and club that runs within the faculty. Every student can join one of their likings for their personal growth and to build wonderful connections.

Admission

The entrance exam is given through CUET-PG examinations conducted by NTA every year. The course is mainly of general studies and aptitude test. The downside of the exam is that even though it is technically a law entrance exam, there is hardly any questions regarding legal studies, it mainly comprises of GK and Maths which is of not much use for a law student. And then, by using the CUET marks, you have to apply for admission at the Delhi University CSAS-PG portal. The cutoff marks can be quite high for a student from general category, meanwhile the cutoff marks for SC/ST can go as low as 30% depending on the circumstances of the applicants.

Faculty

4.5

First of all, the faculty-to-student ratio is quite unsatisfactory. There has been many complains regarding this matter. Though the faculties are very capable, since the faculty-to-student ratio is too bad, there cannot be a satisfactory amount of interactions.

The students are also provided with different types of projects which help them to learn about the basic principles of law. Different types of assignments help the students to understand the physical and the practical aspect of being a lawyer. The course curriculum of the college is really very strong.

There are many negative things about the college like infrastructure is really bad, they do not have adequate faculty, even the faculty they have, does not arrive on time to take lectures. So if you want to take admission in this college, only take admission when you are passionate and serious about law, otherwise you will be wasting you time and money both.
