Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Bosch,Tetra pack do offer internships but only to a few bright students.Rest all have to find internships for themselves as we have compulsory internship in third year 2nd sem.The stipend is not much but the maximum I remember was 25k.Some students also get 1 yr internship and placement in the same company if they do well.

Placement Experience

3.5

VIT Pune focuses on 100% placement of the students. There is a whole seperate committee for the placement purpose in vit called as TPO.Training and placement Office. Here, all the company rounds like aptitude, techincal interviews etc are conducted.More than 400 companies visit here. The highest package was 43LPA last year and the avg is 4-6 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 2 types of fee structure for open category in Vit pune.the basic course fee for all the branches is 1 lakh 92 thousand per year if your OPEN.The second way to get a fee waiver is TFWS that is tuition fee waiver scheme which is granted to a very few students who are financially weak. The roi is pretty decent for Cs related branches. The total fee for 4 years is around 7.6 lakh

The club culture in VIT Pune is one of the best in India. We have more than 70 different clubs. Some are techical like IEEE,GameDev,GDSC (Google development Club) , Microsoft Learning Cell,NVDIA Game development ,etc.We have also the one of the best robotics and Car development clubs called as TRF and Veloce respectively.Veloce gained a World Rank 2 in combustion category this year which is pretty commendable. There are a total of 3 fests here one is sports, techinical and the 3rd is intercollege mega sports and extracurricular event called as Melange

Admission

There are 3 ways to get into VIT Pune. The first one is through JEE.You may get admission by scoring 80+ percentile in JEE Mains but the percentile may differ for various branches. The second and a better way is through MHT CET the cutoffs are high for CET but the exam is simpler than JEE 85+ in CET will easily end you up in VIT but the cutoff for Cs related branches like me is pretty high beyond 95 percentile. You may also get admission through spot round
