Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good. In the first year there are six subjects . Out of which two will be legal subjects. Torts and legal history . In the second semester there will be contracts in place of torts. Other subjects will include economics, political science, philosophy and english . Course curriculum is well designed. We also have moot court included in curriculum so it will prepare you for the practical litigation. Research papers are neccessary to be submitted for all the subjects . So this will also help you to improve your research skills which is essential for this field.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internships are given through the internship cell. But it will be better if you can secure one by your own. The internship cell is not that strong yet . So to get tier 1 firms internhsip you cant wholly rely on the cell. If you dont manage to secure anywhere then surely you can expect to get one from the cell. Internships are mainly provided in firms where u work as legal intern. Most of them are unpaid until you go to 4th year

Placement Experience

2

There is a placement cell present in our university. To be honest the placements are not extremely good but you can expect a decent one with average package of 5 to 6 lakhs . The highest package goes around 15 to 16 lakhs which mostly secured by the candidates through ppos. Although the placement cell is being improved . So in coming years the placements will become better. Tier 1 firms directly don't participate in campus placements so if you want to join you have to get it by yourself otherwise through campus placement you can hope to get a decent one .

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fees per year will be around two lakhs sixty thousand . This includes all the charges and hostel is must so hostel fees is also included in this itself. There are two types of scholarship available. One completely merit based and the other merit along with means considered. So the merit scholarship is given to batch rank 1 and means one is given to next ranks after taking financial condition into consideration

Campus Life

2.5

The campus life is good . In all the occasions there are some sort of programs arranged by the cultural club . Abhirbhaav is our annual fest which incldes all literary, sports and cultural events. Apart from this there are occassional sports events and tournaments organized. Sometimes debates amd literary events are also organized by various societies and clubs. So you wont feel bored and as you will have enough things to participate . There are various centres like centre for consitutional law, criminal law , ipr , business law , human rights , women empowerment . And they keep orgamizing many seminars and lectures in which you can participate.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are good enough . In first year they provide double sharing rooms . From second year onwards you will get single rooms . There are two common bathrooms in each wing of a floor . Mess food is not good . You have to manage somehow . And hostel and mess is must so you dont have any option to opt out . Even if you eat from outside you have to pay the mess fee

Admission

Admission process is pretty easy. Its directly based on your clat rank . From the consortium you will get your college alloted as per the rank. Once you are alloted NUSRL they will just ask you to complete the formalities and you will have to shift there. Even if you dont get alloted you can apply later through vacancies and spot rounds . But there are no complexities in the admisson process. For vacancies and spot rounds you will have to.keep checking their website time to time

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are good. Most of them are well versed in their subjects. You can easily approach them in the faculty chambers anytime you have any questions. In class also they explain the theories and you can surely ask your doubts. Many faculties use smart boards for teaching and others teach verbally. Overall they are really good and if you focus and attend the lectures you wont face problem in understanding the topics

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well I'm a first year student and in the first year we were mostly taught BA subjects like English, economics, philosophy, legal history, contract and tort. Among these, I think that legal history and philosophy were the most important subjects that we got to study. They're highly practical and helps us develop arguments and gets us to know about the history of how the legal system in India came into being. Exams are conducted on a pretty good time intervals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here the positive part is that most of the law teachers are from nlus or from good law collages. The teachers here have a good knowledge of the field of law and most of the teachers are helpfull. Negative part sometimes the teachers are not able to fully complete there syllabus because law is a vast subject.

Placement Experience:

People starts getting Pre-Placemt offers from their last semesters. College do provide the placements to those who apply but in the earlier years maj used to go for Judiciary,UPSC or higher studies. So limited used to apply so limited company interaction we had. But from the latest few years in back our college provides a good amount of placement and many companies are coming here. It's evolving daily. Meanwhile many opt their own search for jobs via internships in firms. We have seniors placed in Khaitan, CAM, SAM, MSA.etc. Even seniors are opting higher studies in foreign countries. So overall it's the hardwork of the student and help of the college. The NLU tag in itself opens atleast one door. The learnings.

Placement Experience:

5th year (final year students) are the only ones eligible for placement. You can work on your own to get one before that. The placement cell has very recently become active and so we need to wait 6 more months to see the real ratio of placements made. However, most students here either pursue LLM, or they get placement offers before the college can provide them or they simply go for preparing judiciary, govt counsels, or other jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main motive to choose the course or to say likely to choose these course because it is very learning course for every student to know there right and duties and more over laws. After choosing the course it was really hardship to cover whole syllabus at one semester though I process it out and make it easy the law basically tought us to solve the reasoning in short and simple. Which I am learning in my whole semester which is not affecting my exams and internship duration.
