Course Curriculum Overview

My course name is Electronics and telecommunication. I took this course for many reasons , and this is the main reason i choose this course that i interest in electronics items ,i want do every experiment with electronics devices So this course are who interested in electronics things

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Placement Experience

We have placement cell for placement and there comes many companies to hire the student in good amount of salary . To take a placement there is a selection exam to seat the placement cell . So everyone try to take in campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

There are tuition fees takes from us in admission 20000 . And total cost of fees in 4 years is 80000. We find also scholarship from gov . So there is not to much financial problems. Job roles in campus is there some companies comes in our campus they select some particular student .

Campus Life

The campus life of aec is good ,we have a technical fastival in aec ,we say this PYROKINESIS, this is our best technical fastival, we enjoy in this fastival. There are many club also which are good for student to focus on his passion.

Hostel Facilities

We have a hostel facilities in our college , in our college there are 9 hostel and hostel no 9 is new one ,only for 1st yr student separated. And hostel no 8 is for girls .there is only one hostel for girls in our campus . And we have also hostel for PG student . There is a allotment process for hostel admission

Admission

The admission process was same like other institutions like IIT ,NIT,IIIT etc. There are also entrance exam to admission to our college name CEE. When you find good marks in entrance and your rank is good then you can find our college

Faculty

Every teachers / faculties are qualified mtech/gate/PG . So every teacher are higher educated and good .and solved in every problems . Every faculties are help in every problems , and faculties are friendlies

Placement Experience:

Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Remarks:

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Distance is the only issue.

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.

My college experience

Admission is based on the scores obtained. admission using their JEE scores, entering through the CSAP round and JoSAA counseling. The college provides category-based benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. The cutoff marks for the college typically range from 120 to 130 out of 480. Only the top-performing students in the entrance exam are admitted to the college.
