A brief description about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat

The course curriculum is well designed which is designed specifically semester wise subjects which suppots the student and enhances or upscale their academic knowledge. The curriculum is designed with laws and bare acts which provides the knowledge of law in it and the curriculum also follows up the moot court practise and internship programmes which provides for real world applicationa and further academic pursuits.

The unviersity has a internship and placement cell which offers various internship opportunities to the students in various courts at different states including district courts, high courts and Supreme Court.

Till now one one batch has been passed out from the university and only 8 to 10 students have got placed from the university from the students of 1st passout batch and their is no placemnet recors till now of the university. After getting of the degree I will go for the judiciary or other competitive exams

The total 1 year fee goes to 2.15 laks to 2.3 lakhs including tuition fees, hostel fees, and mees fees along with other compusory charges. There is no such tuition fee hike policy but there is only a meagre semester fee hike per year but no other fees is increased till now except mess, as the mess is managed by private individuals.

The campus life is overall good and their are various clubs or committees formed by the students for the welfare and development of all other students. Their are many festivals which are celebrated in the university with proper involvemnt of all students. The classes are well equipped with wifi support and some classes have digital boards. Sports activities are meagre and there is no coach and proper ground for the sports except cricket and volleyball.

In the hostel there are single and double occupancy rooms in which the single rooms have a bed , a table, a chair and an almirah whereas a double occupancy room have 2 bed, 2 almirah, 2 table, and 2 chairs. The mess is indepent from hostel and univesity which provides an below average meal' Registration is automatically done by the university after getting admission in the college.

The students who have passed their 12th class and have got a good rank in clat exam can get admission in this university. A student should secure a rank above 2500 if he/she belongs to general category. The dates of appliaction form , application fees and dates can de finded at the site of consortium of nlus which conducts this exam. Their are several reservation provided by university including SC, ST, OBC and of general haryana. The exams are conducted at best time a period of 4 to 5 days holidays are given before the exams and the difficulty of exams are easy to moderate.

In the university each batch comprises of 120 students and of two section of 60 students each, in classes there is no rush or the faculty to student ration is fair, as a class consists of 60 students, But the teaching staff is not much good especially the non permanent members for BA subjects are not good teachers, they take class only to keep attendance record except some of them. But the permanent staff for law subjects are the good teachers who explains and teaches in a proper manner and clear the concept and syallbus with due diligence and full support. A student can approach to a teacher in the working hours between 9am to 5 pm but this situation is not the same with non permanent staff beacuse those teachers or professors comes only at the time of class and leaves the campus as soon as their class gets over thus giving no time to the students.
