IIISER bhopal and its life

The course curriculum is well organised. The college offers many programs like BS, Bs-Ms, msc, phd etc the bs-ms program is 5 years with 1st 2 years focused on overall scientific development. The major years 3 and 4 are highly focused on developing a good intellectual understanding of a partial subject. the final year is the thesis year. Each sem has 2 quizzes, a mid-sem and an end sem in duration of 4 months. The institute provides various options for higher studies after MS like PhD, industries etc.

The institute has varieties of internship opportunities both national amd international. The students here apply for a lot of internships over the year. The internships are however more of research based. There are many foreign internship that allows students to do a research project in foreign countries like germany, france, canada, Australia etc.

The fees for each semester is around 50000 including tution (22000) and other services. The fees is increased each year with small increments. There are however certain scholarships like inspire that a student can look for. There is no financial assistance as such

The IISER Bhopal campus has around all the sports facilities. There are a lot of clubs that helps students in working in teams helping in their overall cultural and social development. The annual cultural feast of the institute is called ENTHUSIA. There are also cultural and sports competition held between all IIISERs called inter iiser cultural and sports meet

The institute provides a in-campus hostel accommodation. There are overall 8 hostels on Campus 2 for girls and rest for boys. Each hostel room is shared between 2 students. There are 6 mess that are provides quality food

All student with science background in +2 are eligible to apply for the entrance exams held by all IIISERs called IAT. The application form is available on iat official website. The exam is held once a year around June. The syallbus covers everything from physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics.

There is good faculty to student ration of 2 students per faculty. They are highly qualified in the field they are doing research. Very helpful and supportive. One can approach them for any academic/ non-academic queries.
