Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very widespread. One can choose courses acoording to their convenience. I chose this course because I always liked to be a part of core science education and research. Faculty members are are very good. The exams and quizzes are organised timely and quizzes are really tough.

Class Size: 382Course Fees: INR 96000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such hike in the fees. No scholarship is provided here by the college but you can avail the scholarships provided by the government and the college always provide help to avail them. It is very important to gain knowledge here and get completely involved in the practical knowledge provided and most people prefer higher studies here.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is 75% in 12th. One can find each every detail in the iiser admission website. Admission process is really good and smooth. No more improvement needed much. Details about the reservation are present in the website. It differs from college to college.

IISER BHOPAL : A HOME FOR MANY

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

My thoughts on IISERB

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

Knowing IISERB engineering sciences

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.

My thoughts on IISERB

I was interested in Physics from the very beginning of my JEE prep but had no idea that IISERs even exist and thought that if I want to study physics at the best possible level in India, IIT was the way. So I naturally aimed for it but I guess I didn't work hard enough and in the end, I failed to make it there. I only started exploring other options after my JEE attempt when I came accross IAT 2024 registration form.
