Course Curriculum Overview

Overall the curriculum helps us to somewhat deal with the outside world. Thus, it helps us to choose which area of social work is apt for us to major in. We should develop major skills such as communication, observatio, active listening, flexibility and a non-judgemental attitude inorder to survive the course. Otherwise, it is going to be difficult for one

Internships Opportunities

Mainly the interships starts from 4th sem or 6th some. It may last from 20 days to 1 month. Most of the times students are provided intershipn to gain experience rather than monetary purposes. BSW students have a mandatory intership in 6th sem, where they have to work under any NGOs in India or outside India.

Placement Experience

There are many placement opportunities provided to students of every department. Companies like accenture, deloitte, federal bank, grand mall encourages students to be placed at several positions. The package may start from 15k per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit based fee - 1st year : Rs. 25,000 2nd & 3rd : Rs. 22,000 + extra fee (fest, training classes, field work etc.) Management based fee depends upon the overall percentage scored by the student in 12th grade.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college is quite good. There are several clubs like NSS, Thavanish, CSA, Film club etc. Several events are always going on in the campus conducted by different departments or the colege union.

Faculty

The course is diverse and help us to explore several dynamics. The faculty is mostly supportive except sometimes. The block of social work is located 1km outside the main campus. That's the major con to the department.

•College has an active placement cell that does everything in their ability to provide maximum number of placement for students. It doesn't guarantee placement, but try to increase the odds of it. •Placement training is given to students regularly •A good number of students do get placements each year.

Christ college irinjalakuda: A hub of Excellency and Opportunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

BSW provides me with such an opportunity. However, the teachers sometimes lag the portions making it difficult towards the end-semester exams. Placement Experience:

In the third year, students become eligible for placements (my degree was a three year degree, it might be different when it becomes a four year degree). Interested students are given training for interviews, GDs and job selection processes by the placement cell in the college. I had not applied for placement, so I don't know the details of the salary package.

This college is oretty famous in this area , and also extremely affordable in my standards to be honest. I havent applied to any other colleges , except for one that was abroad. I didnt get a reply from that college , so i joined this college , and the decision is not one which i regret i guess.
